Shadow Legion of the Dovahkiin [SLD]
~Blackgate~
What is the standard necro build right now for PvE/FoTM. I’m trying to seriously advance in FoTM, so I want to be as usefull as possible.
It really depends. on which part of PvE and what you are fighting in FoTM. As a necro you should probably be taking healing stuff to FoTM. I use power for the most part in PVE but all the builds can work so there is no standard. You just have to keep switching skills and weapons (sometimes the entire set) all the time.
Hmm, I’ve been rocking the juggermancer build and set of armor and seem to do fine, I just wanted to make sure there wasn’t anything I was missing.
I would somewhat advise against juggermancer. Not that its not a good build, but vitality will work against you in FotMs.
Agony will strip your hp down severely and your lack of healing power will not be able to recover much. I actually started fractals working with a Soldier’s gear set, but I found it much easier to progress 20s-30s with a part berserker part cavalier set, ending with around 20k hp, and very high dps.
The plus side is, it doesnt really matter what gear you’re using if you become extremely good at dodging agony altogether.
Dundle, I thought you were having good luck with the Deathhammer build?
In my opinion, the most important thing to do is survive. Use as much vitality/toughness/condi removal as you need to do that. Next, if I had a necro in my group, I would want cripple/weakness/blind and maybe poison. At high levels, tanking is pointless, so you end up kiting a lot of things.
Don’t focus on dps, necro can’t compare to other classes. But necro has some of the best long term movement impairing abilities, and a few good ways of causing blind. Spectral grasp can be useful, and wells are generally good.
