Karl’s honestly a good guy. He actually seems to communicate well one on one. He’s careful to say anything though for obvious reasons, but he had just finished 1k games on all classes apparently recently, last of which was his Necromancer. So maybe it’s our time! Maybe he sees our needs!
For now though, at least we have downstate build. Go 6/0/0/3/5 for max modifiers and Downstate1 people to death

There’s nothing in the class subforums about possible balancing or whatnot.

While I too would like to see where you got this information, I am definitely glad to hear it.
It should pulse one stack for one second every two seconds while in Death Shroud. That way, it feels Grandmaster, but isn’t broken I don’t think.

I was just chitchatting with him yesterday in-game. I wouldn’t really expect tons of buffs, it’d be scary if the Devs rushed to buff whatever they played last haha. He just said though that he had been playing necromancer and finished his last set of 1k games on it. Everything else is inference, he at least played it a lot and might see our short comings. What he does or doesn’t do is a mystery. Either way, the only thing we can do is say GO KARL! And hope for love. :P

Yeah, and it’s recent. He seemed like a great guy, I had a lot of fun talking to him about miscellaneous things. But we talked about necro a bit, and he said he sees us, obviously. And he’s getting in his own experience. Of course, that can only mean so much, power and usefulness is really subjective. Either way, I think it’s nice he hit 1k on ALL classes. Gives me a lot of hope for the future. Obviously that took him a while to do, having just finished. HoT might be a good time for balance. Or at least… try to be. A lot of unknown variables and “hidden builds” will keep that from really happening until the dust settles, but its fun to look forward to. I have hope. I think GS will be used to address a lot of our major concerns. Though unfortunately, unless GS seems AMAZING and MM gets some pretty hefty changes, I’ll probably be on a Revenant at that point. :S

I have a feeling at that time he was playing med guard. :P that’s when they got buffed into usefulness.

Now? Ever since they “fixed” DS, I never saw a reason to take it over Death Perception. Though that is definitely laughable.
I’ll buy 1 stack if it also breaks stuns on a reasonable cooldown.

It should break stuns on DS entry, it’s a grandmaster trait. Besides, why is it OP for a class with no vigor, no real teleports, no mobility to be durable against CC trains?
If you’re not gonna give the necro escapes, then they need to be able to stand their ground.

I don’t understand why they don’t combine Near to Death and Foot in the Grave as a GM trait. They can’t properly balance Foot in the Grave because Near to Death exists. Just combine both of them and then balance from there.

This trait should be an adept trait or minor trait.
To actually be a good grandmaster traid I’d suggest adding a stun break to entering death shroud, or changing it to pulsing stability in death shroud. I’m more in favour of the latter.
Just remove this useless line(s) of coding already and replace it with a meaningful trait.

I command as a necromancer in T1 and I just want to say that this stability change, and how they handled FitG, is a massive nerf to necrommanders. I think the reasons are probably pretty obvious.
I agree. With the changes to stability, it would be fitting for this trait to pulse 1 stack of 3 second stability every 3-5 seconds while in death shroud.
It was already underpowered and should never have been a GM trait. Maybe with HoT we will see some additional changes. Pulsing stability would make this worthwhile, however it does not fully address the existing DS issues.
