I have been off for more than a year. I played Necro before Hot expansion and Bought HOT solely because i love the idea of reaper and style. Especially the GS (Freaking Giant sword turn into Huge Scythe ? OMFG yessss !!). But my necro nvr runs anything with group since always got kicked out well that make me quit playing GW2 for a year or so.

So i can tell i nvr had a experiences with it. But lately PoF come up and i want to try again one more time. I read forums and i saw many thing has changed and builds from metabattles might not be viable anymore.

Can anyone give me some build for reaper? i dont care condi or power or any but i just want to Use my GS . Not a fan of begger sticks or some branches as weapon. But its still ok to do some debuff weapon swap but mainly i want to use my GS after all. Not a going to try scourge .. I dont even like the name of the class.

I might sound childish but i want to play the class and weapon style that satisfy me and i dont care it was abit weak compare to others. After all gaming is about enjoying our time

The high-end raid necro build uses a GS for a condi build. PvP has GS used on a number of power builds.

for what game mode?

go condi or go home the only weapon you should not use in a condi build is Axe….. just be condi…..

power is not viable either in PvP or PvE….. if your not baby sitted by an ele for example

everyone can just stay away from you and dance you arround while your only single defense gets drained down while you dont hit anyone as Power then they literaly will insta blow you up….. thx to not having mobility as a power build lol

For PVE first since i had no ideas what i m doing nor equipments to do high end raids . I just want to farm my equipment and didnt get kicked from every group i got.

No matter for me condi or power since i just want to use GS as my main and doing decent in PVE so that i can join dungeons and raids. Enlight me with some builds pls. Not that i want to get spoonfeed but with everything changing constantly watching videos didn’t help too since every video i found is all show off cases. I really want to learn basics of Reapers since my time playing reapers is less than 10 hrs and mostly open world PVE

Yeah… condi does use gs but not as the main. They only use it to proc whirl finishers left behind by executioner’s scythe, then it back to scepter after dropping nightfall and grasping darkness. At any rate, check out this website. It shows the rotation for the build, hasn’t been updated yet, check back on it for updates now and then.

you can use gs as main, but it wont be for raids. if u like the playstyle a 2nd exotic power gear set isnt expensive

If you need berserker gear you don’t need to spend much gold to get it. You can buy a complete set for karma at the karmervendor in Grenths Temple on the last orr map.

Also you can buy it for map currency and a little amount of gold on the first HoT map by the vendor on the entering point of the map.

If you wanted a easy to get ascendet GS do the Caladbolg restoration quest after you finished the HoT storyline.
