Q:

Hi,

at the moment I have a lvl 52 necro and so far I have tried to gather gear with +power and +condition dmg. My traits are 20 in blood, 12 in curse and 10 in spite. I’m starting to think though that maybe I should have chosen a different subset of gear.

I’m using scepter+dagger in one hand and axe+focus in the other. Skills are Well of Blood, Blood is Power, Well of Corruption and Well of Suffering. Elite skill is the Flesh Golem. Should I focus on gear with condition dmg and maybe Vit or Toughness more? What can you recommend?

Thanks for the tips.

What made you think you made the wrong choices?

I choose exactly the same type of items as you, but I put more emphasis on the condition damage over power. Of course if you take too much beating, you can always try to mix some toughness and vitality, but personally I don’t feel the need to get those stats at all.

If you feel weak or underperfoming, my suggestion is to change your traits into a more balanced mix of curses and blood magic with emphasis on curses.
You also use a lot of wells, therefore I would suggest changing axe+focus for a staff, because marks combo with wells. Investment in Curses trait line would also help you as you get targeted wells.

Plus, my personal thought – I just dont like flesh golem. I roll with Plague elite, as it basically gives you third life bar and is super useful in AOE-multiple foe combat.
