How are you giving necro’s hope? We already knew that a condition build is viable.

A note on your playing. You don’t seem to like to dodge. You went down a few times and not once did you dodge.

Also why run Well of Darkness?

You can get the exact same effect from all the other wells (not counting well of blood) by using the Combo Field.

well of darkness is essentially a 5 second immunity to melee classes, his only blast finisher is putrid mark which is essentially group wide condi removal, wasting that on darkness field for blind? His build is condition but it’s essentially for tanking and surviving with so much life force gen with i’d assume a shaman’s amulet.

Well just tested it. Looks like they fixed it. It used to give blindness on each tick of a well. So it did the exact same thing as well of darkness. Also he does not have to be the one to use a blast finisher. Lots of Other prof have them. But oh well.

Your running a condition spec. It might be a condition/well spec but still a condition spec.

Ya so in other words you are running one. Did i watch every sec. nope. Did i watch a lot of it. Yep. And that’s why i can tell your a bad player. You don’t dodge. you don’t use your Slows to make sure your foes stay in your well. You jump into DS with out any reason too. You were just carried by your team. You stand around spaming 1 on the staff doing next to no damage.

and yes you have 30 points into SR.

By the way when i say condition spec, your damage (what little there was from it) is from condition.

The problem is an Engineer could have done better if you are going condition. Still no hope in site…

Saw this on guru earlier — very solid playstyle and its nice to see alternative builds working for people.

On a side-note: It continues to be frustrating that you can’t get the “shaman” stats on WvW gear.

Love me some bunker necro. Your first post made me take a proper look on the build I was using before (which was basically fully imported from WvW), and change it up to being a lot more similar to yours. I still have a hard time abandoning my cleric’s amulet for a shaman’s, but maybe that’s because I don’t play enough tournies. Keep it up.

Really dislike the utility skills, especially the broken plague signet. No reason to just copy debuffs onto yourself.

Corrupt Boon sounds good on paper, but really it’s only useful vs Guardians. All the other classes you’d want to use it against can instantly get those boons up again and a focus 5 will remove the same amount of boons over the same time frame.

Everyone has their own playstyle, but feel like these wins are more or less your team rather than a necro. The moment that staff ele steps away from keep you were down on the ground, and really the moment the staff ele dies is when your team loses mid. Yall are able to take it back, but that staff ele is always there.

Then you have the less than steller damage output. So it makes you wonder if a guardian mid with the heals and retal would have made that fight more in your favor.

Ok, so sure, it doesn’t have the utility of cleansing your team, but that’s ANet’s fault, which I’m sure they’ll make right.

Although there’s that bug, it can still be used to transfer all your condi’s from yourself to your enemy, then use epidemic to spread everything.

It still works as a stun break.

You can think of it as a problem or that it just makes it that much harder to use. Either way its kind of odd, one nice thing and i am sure its going to get nerfed is the fact that you can use it to remove conditions with out a target. I kind of think of it as a get out of jail free card. Not only does it break stun but it removes immobilize. Something no other stun breaker can do.

I said that and i just remembered that’s not true. Eng have one and so do Ele. So NVM. Really wish the edit post option worked all the time.

Your engi teammate is a very good player. I also liked the ele.

The necro is working fine as long as the opposite team focuses the engi/ele, but you go down in a few seconds if plague form is on CD.

Dunno how well your build is actually performing, but it is definitely too boring for my taste since most of the time you just circle through your weapon sets and lay down aoe templates and the occational well.
