Now that the rewards for Spvp have been changed and i’m really starting to enjoy it (that and I have a friend who recently got the game and enjoys pvp in this game) i’ve decided to look more closesly at builds related to spvp.

Anyone know any goods runes/traits for a Condi based necro for Spvp? I’m running 0/30/20/0/20 (at least that was what it was pre-patch, too lazy to look up new numbers).

Pretty much what you need for a condition build is terror in curses, which your build has. After that you have a lot of room to play with what you want to do. I also consider vital persistance crucial in all builds, though.

I’ve been running 0/20/20/0/30 and it has worked, to can also go 30 into spite, and play around in blood, or whatever you find works for you. I want to try 30/20/0/20/0 but I’m afraid to drop VP and last gasp.

20/30/0/0/20 or 0/30/20/0/20 are both fine for condi, not sure what is going to be best yet, kind of depends on your own needs I guess.

Runes should be nightmare, I don’t know of any other that are worthwhile comparatively for a condi build.

my condition build bounces between 4/6/0/0/4 and 0/6/4/0/4. when I trait spite I trade my staff in for axe/focus. when I trait death obviously use staff. I run Traveler runes however.

Has anyone tried the new Krait runes yet? They look rather promising. Especially that 45% bleed duration.

And yeah, I’m still not used to seeing 4 as “20” like it was with the old system. I keep thinking “40? Wat?”

Has anyone tried the new Krait runes yet?

I tested them once. They don’t fit into my hybrid build, but I think they are the strongest contenter for condi necros in spvp so far.

Nightmare will increase your overall condi duration which is better of course, but I hate stuff like “fear at any random moment… cd: 1 year!”.

Btw, the 6th bonus of Krait is a 5-target aoe. One stack of bleeding, torment, and poison each. I’m not sure about the range, it’s lower than 600 but more than 240. Probably 480..?
Anyway, if you’re using the golem as your elite, this is the rune to get imo.

30/20/0/0/20 (6/4/0/0/4 now) with Balthazar runes.

I should test this, but I’m not in a hurry on that one : relying so much on DS will certainly put alot of stress, always thinking about how and when to maximize it : more damage with Dhuumfire, more pressure with timed fear / dark path, more survivability against unavoidable burst… Constant pressure, knowing that when I pick one, other options are lost or damaged, or so I think. :p

For now I love 0/30/20/0/20 (0/6/4/0/4). That new grand master trait is no short of amazing ! And there’s so many fear to disrupt opponent’s tactic: DS #3, Staff #5, 2 sec (!) runes of nightmare, 3 sec reaper’s protection, sometimes a dark path on stability…

Now that Geomancy has been nerfed and I don’t use dhuumfire anymore (was using +10% burn duration to reach +50% for 3 sec), I switched to +20% bleed duration (on scepter/dagger) to help recover from the loss of Spite, +50% endurance refill (on staff), and 60% chance to remove a boon (on both) to more easily reach that covered stability buff with my lovely Dark Path. =D

So far, so good, never felt this strong. =D

Balance team is a bunch of clowns, hurting the game to the full extent of their abilities.
