Before I submit a bug report, just want to check if it’s just me. I’ve noticed that Grasping Darkness has some weird issues, if it’s cast on any incline/decline be it stairs or a small hill, it simply won’t work, I mean no damage no claws, just the black carpet effect of the animation.

Also it sometimes won’t cast in the right direction (although that might be user error) but sometimes my character is facing one way, but it casts another.

Is it just me? Or are these somethings others have experienced as well?

Lol shocking, another bugged skill. A number of skills dont work well on an incline. Keep testing this with a friend or something, if it consistently keeps happening chances are its not just you. My guess is at least the blind effect stays

Grasping Darkness is full of bugs that have been there since day 1 of HoT. We’ve just gotten used to living with them because:

  • Grasping Darkness is a very complex skill under the hood and integrates programming and art in a very specific way to work the way it does. As a result, changes that would be simple for another skill (like giving it increased range) are very difficult and require coordination from multiple disciplines. I’ve made a few changes that I believe are safe for this BWE that changes the skill to be enemy targeted instead of using your facing direction. We’ll be keeping an eye on this one to see if it needs further tuning in subsequent beta events.
