I dunno, this idea just popped in my head.

I know that when grounded the idea is that you are suppose to be much more vulnerable than standing, but I just can’t stand the necro’s downed moves, namely 2, the fear one. If it were an Aoe that would be a little better, but still, one second isn’t enough.

Since most other classes have a mobile alternative, (sans warrior who must sacrifice himself to rally) an idea popped in my head to replace the useless fear 2 downed skill with something mobile AND stays true to the necro.

Feign Death — The necromancer digs underground while leaving a fake necromancer in its place which dies the moment this skill is casted, making it seem like the necromancer himself has died. The necro can either move underground freely for 2-3 seconds, or like the mesmer he is instantly teleported away from the fake corpse.

Downed fear base duration is 2 seconds, actually, but it also has the longest cast time of any downed skill (not counting channels).
