As the title says I haven’t played in a long time, months at least and I was wanting to come back when I heard they were finally changing the Necro (Necro being my Main since beta weekends) for the better.
Well trust me to come back on the day they decide to nerf them, lol.

I like to play attrition based classes mainly using conditions and from what I’ve heard the Necro still hasn’t got any escape mechanics nor any immunity skills and nothing to really emphasis the attrition?

I want to start over, from level 1 again however I have this feeling the necro is in limbo, still and I’m not sure I could deal with the constant neglect, it’s been months and it doesn’t feel like they’ve changed anything substantial.

So really my question is this – Is what I said all wrong or should I roll a condi mesmer?

Again, I’ve been a way awhile, I’ve been keeping up to date on patch notes and forums but not actually tested anything in game. Thanks.

Roll a mesmer.

Roll a Guardian.

Roll a Ranger.

I’ve never played Ranger, thought they was more long range single target DPS?

Only in specialized wvw builds. Standard PVE is Sword+Warhorn, Roaming and sPvP uses one handed weapons with offhands, sometimes shortbows but mostly condi stacking one hands though that might change with the Greatsword adding Vulnerability now.

I like how there are no questions asked, no one to plead a case otherwise, instead everyone is saying to play another class, which says a lot
