Hello Everyone,

As title says, I am having trouble trying to find 2 or 3 builds I can use for various parts of GW2. I am looking for a WvWvW Build (with ability to stay alive longer and contribute to keep taking/defense), a Dungeon build that helps with Healing, and maybe a Pve Fun build.

I have tried a few out and I must be messing things up a bit. I am almost level 50 with my Necro and I feel I should start be beginning to come into the power of a Necro but I’m failing at build creation.

Any suggestion would be great. Something along the lines of what I requested above would be great.

Thanks in Advance

There are 3 diff types of builds for each class,

Control / Dps / Support

*Control PVP build

-This build maximizes your survivability and defensive capabilities so that you can help control the battlefield. Axe + Warhorn and Staff weapons apply Daze and several control conditions (Cripple, Fear, Chill, Poison) allowing you to control damage and movement. This build uses Death Shroud to boost survivability and damage.

Weapons: AXE / Warhorn

Traits: 30 Spite / 0 Curses / 20 Death Magic / 5 Blood Magic / 15 Soul Reaping

Skills: Consume Conditions / Plague Signet / Well Of Power / Spectral Armor / Lich Form

Sigils: Axe + Warhorn
Superior Sigil of Leeching + Superior Sigil of Battle

Runes: 6x Superior Rune of the the Lich

*DPS PVE Build

PVE
Condition Damage = Precision > Condition Duration > Critical Damage = Power

Is the control Necro the same as Wulfgrim’s Bunker Necro?

Right now I’m running a 10/20/20/10/10 build.

None of the 30 point traits, IMO, are all that compelling.
10 points in power for the might when I’m in DS (on life blast cast), and 10 in soul reaping to make life blast pierce + cause vuln.

those two are kinda optional, but I got ‘em because I PvE and it’s great for group pulls, and I love pulling as many mobs as I can at once

20 points in curses and death, curses I grab 20% bleeding and GTAoE wells. Or if I’m not using wells, 33% chance at life force on crit. Or faster corruption spells. usually it’s on wells.
20 in death for greater marks and 20% reduced staff cooldowns. That’s the real big important one. Greater marks are AWESOME.

10 in blood. This one is also important. Creates of Mark of Blood when you dodge, 10sec CD. What’s undocumented is that it’s also a blast finisher. Very nice. Plus, extra greater mark of blood every 10 seconds! Woo!

This is the build I’ve been playing around with lately, specifically designed for WvW. In berserker gear, it’s amazingly fun. Dropping well of suffering + all marks is a guaranteed kill on at least 1 target. Drop it on 5 people, and watch their line disintegrate. You could also choose to swap out Weakening Shroud for Hemophilia- Depends on whether you’ll be in the open field, or attacking/defending keeps.

Sounds like you want something a bit tankier though. That would work out especially well for you since you mentioned wanting a healing/support build for pve.

Something along the lines of this build with some cleric gear should work out well for what you intend to do. I’m sure you can think of a few ways to improve it, but it has the high durability, high healing power, and utility/support that you wanted.
