Hello!
I just leveled up my necro to 80. I will play condi necro in WvW(roam etc.) and going for map completion. I have enough money only for one gear, but dont know what to buy. Dire or Rabid? Mix of them? Weapons? Which runes? Perplexity are too expensive, what are alternatives – krait, nightmare or other and which are better?

I think if you are set to condi, then full rabid would do okay in both open world and wvw. Dire is better for roaming but too tanky for pve. Krait, afflicted, nightmare, undead all works.

Thank you! Ill buy rabid exotic everything, and save laurels for ascended jewelry if i decide to go dire later. I should try those runes and see which suits me

I went rabid/krait runes with sinister amulet. You can get it in SW for 1000 crests and 10g.

Plus in SW you’ll see condi necro is perfect for that. Many of the husks, and bigger enemies have natural resistance to direct damage, so condis rip them apart. It’s fun!!
