Hello. THIS is the build I’m currently using.

As you may notice, there are a few things missing from the build, which are exactly why I’m here asking you to help me.

  • What should the third utility be? I use flesh wurm in tournaments, but what if I just want to duel people, or to play some hot join?
  • What’s the best Adept trait in Spite? Leeto uses Spiteful Spirit but I’m not 100% sold about it.
  • I’m missing 2 trait point from the build. What should I take? All necromancer’s adept traits kind of… suck.
  • The runes. I use Pack runeset, is that optimal?

Sup sup, I will try and give my opinion about things…

  • Axe is… considered not too good… I won’t go in it too much, but to me I feel that Dagger does way better (immob instead of cripple is a huge difference)… Though it is my opinion, and you are free to do as you see fit
  • The third utility depends on you and your enemy comp… I myself run with double spectrals (Armour and Walk) for testing sake, but I find it hard to give up Fleshworm once you get used to it… For dueling with a power build, Spectral Grasp grants some hilarious results
  • Spiteful Spirit is actually better than people thing it is, because Retaliation is still a lot of fun when you try and survive with glass vs glass (Mesmer/Thief)… You can also pick Reaper’s Might though if you prefer, but it is up to you I guess
  • If you go with Soul Marks, which you did, I can recommend going 2 in Blood Magic and take Mark of Evasion – you will get some more lifeforce by that, and some regen (outside of DS)
  • I actually started running Pack as well within This build – though it is highly in Beta, and I only use it in WvWvW much… Other options are Traveler, Strength and Ogre

What GoogleBrandon said, so pack runes and dagger, also take reaper’s might and Enfeebling Blood from Curses traitline. Same in utility, if not flesh wurm then spectral armor/grasp for some breathing room or blood is power/well of suffering, both great for power necro

I like leetos build a lot it takes practice but it is very strong

Traits – recommend getting Reapers Might and 2 Points in curses for Reapers Precision – Yes it works while you are in DS – You will be spending a lot of time lifeblasting which those two traits help with

Gear – I use strength runes and battle/strength sigils on my staff air/fire on d/d – the might stacking is pretty good – Pack runes are good too though so you can experiment with what you like most I use Hoelbrek sometimes too

I agree with brandon d/d is better than a/d but as long as you have offhand dagger you are good with its superior defensive skills

Spectral Walk + Flesh Wurm should always be on your bar as a zerk necro they are the best disengages we have

Might stacking? Blood is power
Boon heavy enemy team? Corrupt boon or well of corruption
More burst? Well of Suffering

The last utility is truly up to you and the enemy and your allies

Lich is too gimmicky for me I roll with Plague for safe stomps and for stalling/tanking when you are outnumbered on a point

I forgot, get an energy sigil as well, because without vigor, you might end up a dead necro (Staff + DS = Highest Deathshroud DPS, so I’d recommend energy on the other set)

Reaper’s precision gives 1% life force every 3 critical hits. I’d take weakening shroud or chilling darkness over it anytime, especially with dagger mainhand and spectrals.

Spend the 2 trait points on Death magic and choose VI (Shrouded Removal). Gives you some nice bonus in DS (which ur build is using a lot). Try also sigil of energy.
Weapon combination of staff + axe/dagger is kinda bad, better use dagger/wh and spectral armor instead of spectral walk (cuz of wh #5). Using focus is also an option for the invulnerability stacking and the boonstrip, so you might be able to change corrupt boon for Blood is power.

I tried D/D before trying A/D and I like both sets, but I’ve been actually told that Axe mainhand > Dagger mainhand (due to the burst of #2).

Also, many of you are suggesting warhorn, but I really thing dagger offhand is superior because of the blind+condi transfer. That alone means safestomps and condi pressure.

I will try Mark of evasion and Spiteful Spirit (if only the retaliation lasted longer…). Mark of evasion seems rather nice, but does regeneration work while in DS?

Watch this for a powermancer guide: http://youtu.be/OnLKuILB5mc

For your last 2 pointe you should really be using it to get more LF.
Either do what brandon said (soul Marks’ and Mark on Dodge) or get reapers precision. You hit a LOT of times with wells, dagger, life transfer, focus 4, staff AA, dagger 2 etc which can all crit and give you a lot more LF.

Curses also gets you more precision, which is always usefull.

But it’s up to you pack/strength/ and ogre are your best choices… I prefer strength but again, it’s up to you.

Hope this helped
