Guild Wars 2

I read through the Terms of Services and I didn’t find anything against posting to other guild wars 2 fansites or anything, so here goes.

I am level 50 as of right now, it’s me second character and I have only played for two weeks. The first was a Mesmer I got to 32 but I found it right boring there at the end before I made the swap on to Necromancer.

I did a bit of research to find the “best” build and I found this thing here:

I haven’t got any zerker gear yet, I don’t even know how to gear up, but I get the general idea that when I get all the gear I need with the sigils and glyphs and what-not. So let’s assume I figure all of that out, right? The gear and everything.

Can anyone help me figure out how to actually play the build I linked? It has an Axe, which I’ve read is only useful for Death Shroud builds, which this build does not spec into (The last of the 0/0/0/0/0/6 or w/e) and you never use the auto-attack on the Axe so I’m not really sure what it’s there for.

All the top builds say to use Dagger+Focus then Dagger+Warhorn for the off-set and basically auto-attack with the dagger and don’t do anything else but use Wells on cooldown and every 32 seconds use #5 skill in the Death Shroud form.

How would one play the build I linked? I can’t figure out why the weapons and such are so different from the “standard” dagger build yet it does more DPS?

Um, alright, follow up question I should have asked first I guess: Is this build even relevant? Or has something new come along?

Well… Given the fact that you are level 50, this kind of argument about build efficacity is a bit… out of place I’d say.

Simply put the guy which post the build say that he think the damage bonus granted by siphon trait would be stronger than the damage bonus given by soul reaping. Whether he is wrong or right, I think you shouldn’t try to rely a lot on siphon trait for leveling, except if you play a minionmancer. Vampiric master is probably the most reliable siphon trait out of the entire bloodline.

Anyway, you can take it easy at your point, just try any weapon and tke the one with which you feel it’s easier to play.
