Hello folks. This is my first ever build post. I’m not posting it to say “Hey look how good it is” because I am sure the pros will shred it. I It may not even be original for all I know but I didn’t find a similar one during a quick search.

Its a hybrid build utilizing all aspects of the necro. I terror, I minion, I power and I DoT. I use it mostly for pvp in group fights where I can sneak in a signet of spite and then epidemic. My minions do decent damage and confuse the enemy by clogging up the area.

Basically I am wondering if this can be improved at all without being totally changed. I have tried things like switching my non elite minion for Corrupt boon and using scepter instead of axe. These configurations have also shown some positive results for me.

I was thinking of dropping flesh of the master to get vital persistence..more death shroud means longer life and more dhuumfire.

My pvp record sucks for those who look it up and want to see if I have been winning with this build. I cannot for the life of me find myself on teams that want to win so I can only gage my own performances (holding mid 2v1 till help arrives, holding down home point the whole game, etc) The solo Q has become a joke.

But I digress… tell me what you think.

Im honestly not sure why do you want to do everything at once, IMO the only good hybrid is power/condi which is 6/6/0/0/2. As it is epidemic only spreads mediocre damage for you, minion’s attack speed is just terrible, on top of that the signet has a long cooldown. In my opinion necro doesnt have much wiggle room with builds, its either all the way MM or conditionmancer or power/condi hybrid. Minions just don’t mix in that well with either condi or power =|

I would just drop conditions out, focus more on your minions and DS. Not saying go MM, but maybe grab some spectral stuff. Or you could grab Blood is Power, make some sort of suicider build focused on bleeding and drop minions.

The Flesh Golem is a popular and effective elite in PvP even if you don’t run any other minions and minion related traits. So you don’t really need Flesh and Traning of the Master unless you want your Shadow Fiend to be a little more tanky.
You also have Signet Mastery for a single signet, and Hemophilia for rather few sources of bleeding, all of which lasting at least 10 sec with 6 points in Spite already.

Imo hybrids are very underrated (and no, the 6/6///2 is not the only and certainly not the best hybrid build), but you are spreading yourself too thin in a lot of places.

Thanks for the feedback! After playing with the build a little more I noticed right away I was getting very little out of Hemo, so I switched that to Weakening shroud because my new shift is toward more DS anyway. Because of that I also dropped Flesh of the master to grab Vital persistence. Since I am only using the Flesh Golem now, I traded Training of the master for Chill of death as well.

One big change I made was to go with strength runes. With my switch from signet mastery to reapers might and my dropping Shadow Fiend for Blood is power, I believe I can keep might up at all times. I will be doing both direct damage and conditions via terror and dhum and whatever bleeds I throw out so I think increasing both forms of damage can only be a good thing. I also traded my Sigil of corrupt on staff and sigil of geo on dagger for Battle sigils for more guaranteed might.

I was feeling a bit squishy so I added on spectral armor for the prot and life force and spectral wall for prot and another fear.

SO…… Step in the right direction? Or…fail? Here’s the updated build.

Looks solid now.

The next thing I would do is monitor the effectivness of Vital Persistance and the 2 energy sigils with your playstyle. Pay close attention to your swap and dodge timing, as well as time spent in DS vs lf regen. It might pay off to gear/trait a little more offensive, but like I said, depends on your playstyle and to a lesser extent on your opponents.
