Any news on possible changes to necros in the upcoming expansion? Im really considering quitting the class overall because its so sub-par in anything it does compared to other classes, that’s its becoming nothing but a frustration to continue playing it. Not enough sustain. Not enough damage. Not enough survivability. Not enough mobility. I used to enjoy condi necro until dhuumfire nerfs and now i am playing power necro and realizing how disappointingly weak the class is.

Necromancer is the worst class hands down. Wake up Anet.

HoT is far away, you can take a break from the class and play others. The main reason people even play necro is because they like the concept of darkmagic/vampirism/minionmastery/DS mechanic. Personally, it feels very clunky and not-mobile that I lost some interest in mine after playing other classes. Nonetheless I still comeback to it every now and then, only to reck celestial builds and bunkers because they annoy the heck out of me when I’m on something else. Also lich form helps too ^^ (afterall lich form is what got me started to necro and gw2)

Rejoice, after a specialization centered around GS and spectrals skills that will end up disapointing. Anet will anounced a new specialization centered around hammer and minion.

Horror

While wielding it’s hammer the Horror’s minion become it’s bone and flesh. The Horror can’t summon minions but gain a direct acces to their active skills when equiped.
Blood fiend : You gain a passive regeneration when the active shill ain’t on cool down.
Bone minions : Grant you a double reliable blast centered at your feets every 20 seconds
Shadow fiend : personal teleport to your foe, blinding it and gaining life force.
Flesh wurm : a targeted teleport that blast on impact.
Bone fiend : a ranged attack that root your foe.
Flesh golem : You launch a powerfull charge with so many bonus it’s awesome.

NB.: This is a joke, but this is an awesome joke!

At the moment we don’t know what will happen to the necro with HoT. Sure Revenant cause an uproar in the necromancer’s community but, maybe, the community fears won’t come true.

No core profession should be balanced around an optional elite specialization.

Would it be another proof that dev read the necromancer’s forum?

No core profession should be balanced around an optional elite specialization.
