How much does your Well hit for?
C-come on guys. Any help? A-at all?
In zerker gear, in a zerker build, my wells hit for around 2k-2.5k or so per tick on criticals. I also don’t have optimal gear, so I am sure with the right runes it could b higher.
700~900 depending on the enemy, rarely over 1k, but still a really nice amount for no crits, if you are critting however it would be in the mid 2k ranges.
Been testing those lately in WvW a lot, most of my juicy numbers comes from when you pop Lich. Stats goes up the roof and boost wells like crazy. Someone foolish enough to stay in them will litterally melt in second. Suffering can tick close to 3,5-4k in lich form.
I guess you could achieve something similar with lots of might and the 50% crit DS trait.

^This. Drop wells, pop Lich Form. Alternatively, drop wells, pop DS with Deathly Precision followed by 5 and 4. Either way, anything standing in the wells is dead by the time the wells expire. Immobilize also comes in handy here..
As for the builds, my favorite is a 30/10/0/0/30 zerker build. A bit glassy, but has some lovely aoe
Wellmancers are best used in PvP, not WvW. In WvW, smart enemies can easily escape your main source of damage with ease.
Regardless, in PvP, I tend to hit around 900-1.6k per pulse from Well of Suffering, 700-1k from corruption, which rockets up to nearly 2k-2.9k and 1k-1.9k in Lich. I tend to enjoy activating Locust Swarm, Well of Corruption, Deathshroud 5, Well of Suffering, Lich on a group of opponents fighting over a point or buff. It’s a hobby of mine. Almost as fun as trapping players in corners with Spectral wall, and waving at them as they die.

If in WvW, you also die “lovely” and quickly, if not careful, given the build you have indicated is more a backline build than anything else. I prefer to be frontline, hence, I run a different build and my wells still dish out respectable damage (WoS doing 4K+).

True that, I’ve never been much of a zerg fighter, and I probably should’ve mentioned it.
I typically fight solo or with a couple of people at most, so there’s less random aoe going around. Even then it’s easy to get killed unless you know what you’re doing, so it’s definitely not a build for everyone.
Then again, I’ve done just fine the few times I’ve taken part in keep sieges etc, though when pushing it’s best you use DS 4 and keep away from front lines when you’re starting to take damage.
To measure how much damage does any of my attacks, and compare it to any of your attacks, we should use the same target, don’t we?
Since each target have different toughness, hitting one or another will result in more or less damage applied to the target, isn’t it?
I suggest using a Pink Moa. Because. You can suggest the place and level.
