I made a long pause and now D/D eles seem almost invincible when I use a terrormancer. Any tips? Especially with diamond skin I do zero damage, cant apply any CC, it feels totaly hopeless.

If you are terromancer, yes. And ya, I agree with the balance part, and I feel your pain. But in the bright side, diamond skin is rarely taken.

Your best friend is corrupt boon, really. Wait for them to use armor of earth, it’ll give them stability, protection, vigor, and regeneration when traited. Then use corrupt boon. Laugh. To pump them out of diamond skin ( i thought people stopped running that, i must have been lucky) use the small damage of flesh golem/ staff/ whatever you’re running and interrupt their heal , warhorn 4 is great for that but you may not have it, so flesh golem charge, still requires some luck and a not that good ele.

Terrormancer using carrion and 30 in spite can kill the diamond skin ele.

If its a diamond skin ele you’re fighting, leave or call for help. It’s a weak spec when they are below the threshold. As much as you may dislike that on a condimancer, remember how hard you counter engineers first. Once that threshold goes down it is a very weak spec, so if there is a diamond skin ele just be wary of where you, your team, and they are on the map.

it’s funny, I consider most D/D eles food on my condition necro if they don’t have ether renewal. Even if they do it is easily interrupted through fears.

Elementalists are so reliant on boons that once a necro corrupts them they are put at a significant disadvantage. And even if they are celestial eles, you can just transfer the burns back on to them.

Of course if they run Diamond skin you won’t be able to kill them, but I have rarely come across Diamond Skin eles, like extremely rare. I’ve maybe encountered 2 or 3 and I WvW alot. And it is only a situationally useful trait. Once you get below that threshold the trait is completely useless. I would much rather have another trait like Rock Solid or Stone Heart which are useful in virtually all situations.
