Yeah i did the same thing
They are soul bound so cant send one from one character to another either

Make a new character, choose the mask at character creation, buy another mask that the vendor sells at the charr area go to your warehouse and transmuted it and it will become account bound.

Create alt necro with skull head, transmute skull on to low level helm piece send helm piece to main, transmute helm piece onto desired helm

Profit

Alternatively go Arah explore 3 times, helm looks 10xbetter

helm costs 180 tokens, 60 per arah run path (assuming its your first path of the day)

You guys sure? because when you go to transmute something it always says in big red letters “Warning: Transmuting an item will make it soulbound”.

Found this on GW2guru, works on everything I think, my bro just transmuted a Priory chestplate for his OoW character yesterday.

1.) Make a new necro with mask.
2.) Have another character buy a cheap helm. NOTED: This mask needs to be white or blue name AND of the same type, as in light, medium, or heavy. (This is important)
3.) Put said helm in bank.
4.) Log onto the new necro with mask.
5.) Now you can transmute the mask onto helm.
6.) Put the new transmuted mask into bank
7.) Go into your current necro and then take out the transmuted mask.
8.) Now you can transmute the mask with any helm

I was able to get the method used by Recycle to work. The item says soulbound but when it’s in the bank the other character can grab it.
