I had such a great time this weekend. Yes, there are still a lot that needs fixing or improving (shouts with casting time? nty), but overall, it was fantastic

I can’t wait to see what the next BWE has in store, and I’m really looking forward to rebuilding my Reaper

I miss my Reaper as well, it’s hard to play the base necromancer now. I absolutely loved beating the tar out of things with my giant over sized scythe. I need it as a greatsword skin. I -NEED- IT!

They should really make things less fun during beta tests.

+1, I feel so lost now. My necro feels so slow, sluggish, and…normal.

Even with the needed changes I still loved playing my Reaper with a twilight finally!!!!

I miss my reaper too. I had a ton of fun on tanky power build and cele in wvw and pvp. there are so many things I still need to try out but the time was just so short….I still wanna try out gravedigger spam on bosses in pve and havent got around to it T.T

but that glorious moment when I murdered a few GS/hammer warriors with that stability in RS. I want more!

yea same here, hard to go back. Tho Reaper has its flaws its mainly in the new Weapon and Shouts. I miss it

Agreed. Shouts should not have a cast time, and GS att speed could really stand to be increased. I know they are worried about making stuff OP, but really, it’s still cloth armor. We’re meant to be in the thick of it; if they aren’t going to give us flame resistant Kevlar, then they need to let us be able to attack faster, lol.

Other than that, Reaper is just….swoons.

I agree. I love my necro main, but Death Shroud just feels so inadequate now.

Right now its just kind of depressing going back to base necromancer. I miss reaper shroud so much..

I was finally able to run a build utilizing the necro’s class ability and have FUN with it. Aside from shouts needing to lose cast time and GS 5 needing to be ground targeting, I had an insane amount of fun. Grave digger spam in dungeons for days!

The greatsword was really fun to use and so was the Reaper’s shroud. Sure its power was a bit on the low side for both condition damage and physical damage I have to say that I really enjoyed it. But, I’ll use weak weapons if they’re fun to use. Unlike Axe… Which is no longer fun to use.

Yeah, I really loved playing my Reaper. A bit frustrating in PvP at times with greatsword’s issues, but still fun and awesome style. Now back on my Necro and my daggers feel unusually tiny….

To be honest though, depending on what Reaper improvements are made and how the Forge turns out, I may just stick with my Engi as my main.

i never expected a mm reaper would be this great in pve. That spec is exactly what a necro is missing the most. Great work done here!

Leveled a Necro to 80 based on Reaper announcement. Hated almost every minute of the leveling process, but thankfully I was static with a buddy’s GS warrior.

Played Reaper during BWE. Most-fun playstyle (math/mechanics could use some tuning, but the raw feel is fantastic) in the game.

BWE ended. Got some decent gear for my Necro, then sat him back at the bottom of my char list until HoT releases, at which point he becomes my main.

As a PvPer, Reaper actually made me appreciate my dagger a lot more. I feel stronger than ever after a weekend of trying to make that GS work in SPvP.

That being said, knowing that a more reliable reaper is on the way is definitely cheapening my necro a tad.

I’m in the same boat. After getting stomped left and right trying to use GS, my d/wh is just.. Yes. I’m back to actually getting points, and even getting top points fairly often. GS was depressing for sPvP for me. Still, if it gets the proper buffs… it’ll be so nice to rock the Reaper in PvP

Can we play Reaper pretty please? Even with how imperfect they are right now, they’re so much more fun than the current necro. I’d rather be playing a Reaper (like the bumper sticker).

I miss some skills of my reaper.

Mostly I miss the traits.

While the greatsword and the shouts are subpar, the Reaper actually had a couple of good things going for it. Reaper Shroud was solid, but the main thing were those traits. They were oh so delicious. Decimate Defenses, Reaper’s Onslaught, Blighter’s Boon, Chilling Force, Relentless Pursuit, Cold Shoulder, heck even Augury of Death in the right circumstances. They combo so well with each other, and so well with other specializations. There’s just so much to play with.
