I need a good Death Shroud solo PvE build.
What exactly do you mean by staying alive for solo PvE? A bog standard zerker necro with offensive traits will kill pretty much anything without loosing any hp. Well except champion bosses. Or did you plan to solo Arah or something?
Visit metabattle.com for builds.
Not soloing dungeons. Open world stuff. Want to focus on the use of Death Shroud.
Metabattle tends to be useless except for Dungeons and PvP.
This is the perfect build for you (and I currently play it).
Open world Death Shroud build isn’t too complex. Take Spite and Soul Reaping and pick the traits that buff Death Shroud. Use mostly Berserker gear. Add in Valk gear if you want to be more survivable since you have the 50% crit in Shroud in Soul Reaping to make up for it. Try to use Staff before going into Shroud, otherwise use Dagger for lifeforce generation. Warhorn for the daze and swiftness for running around a map faster.
Third traitline can be any of the others really. Curses is probably the best for damage and weakness spam. Blood Magic is good for extra sustain, little bit of damage, and buffing wells. Even Death Magic has potential with the trait that lets you lose conditions in Shroud since open world stuff often has mobs that use conditions. Play around and see what you like there.
Runes and Sigils are whatever you’d like. Force/Accuracy/Air/Fire, whatever gives damage. For armor, Pack is good damage and increases the swiftness of warhorn. Strength is generically good. Traveler if you want faster run speed.
This is the perfect build for you (and I currently play it).
Thank you, that build is great and a whole lot of fun. Getting high damage, and longer time in death shroud.
I wasn’t able to afford Superior Strength sigils, so I 5 bought Superior Sigil of Fire and 1 Superior Sigil of Vampirism (for +25 power) instead, I’ll replace them when I can afford them. I only had 45 gold, so I had to spend the least amount possible while staying with at least Exotic. I was able to craft the armor pieces using what I had, but had to buy Vials of Potent Blood so I could use the Mystic forge to convert them into Vials of Powerful Blood for the insignia’s. Using the Mystic forge actually saved me gold a lot of Gold. I had 900 Badges of Honor that I do not know how I got since I do not do WvW, but I was able to buy the 3 weapons (Dagger, Warhorn, and Staff). I used Karma to buy Ascended Amulet and Rings, and then I made 2 exotic ear rings.
After everything was said and done, I ended up spending about 18 gold on getting all of this, where as if I bought everything from the TP it would have cost me at least 2 times that amount if not more.
