Ladies and Gentlemen/my fellow necromancers:

Given the paucity of communication from the Devs, and given that the necromancers that frequent this forum have pointed out the problems with our current state and identified every bug and downside to the class, I propose we, the necromancer community, boycott the necromancer section of the forums. There is simply nothing left to say until such time as bug fixes are implemented or a developer chooses to actually contribute to the community discussion. I for one, will withdraw from commenting in this forum until one of the above happens. Will it change anything? likely not, nor do I require you to care what I have to say. A forum is a place to express oneself about the game, and I have nothing constructive to add.

I have read practically every post, contributed where I could, transitioned from excitement about the class, to frustration with the limitations and bugs, to increased frustration due to limited dev communication and outright veiled insults , to anger, and now calm. I have dealt with the possibility that the devs do not agree with their community and potentially have no fixes planned.

Thus, I bid you good day, good evening, and a well intentioned good bye, until such time as we see changes. Wish you all the best of luck.

The official class forums has always been the place where one vents their frustration about the game/class/recipe/pixels etc. However, you are right on one thing, this post is not constructive in the slightest. Boycott? lol

As someone who has played the necro since beta I am aware of the many bugs that plague my class, but unlike this forum poster I don’t let them detract from my personal experience and gameplay

So plague signet isn’t removing conditions just duplicating them – so what? people can handle their own conditions – its not diminishing my damage or survivability

Just an example of putting a positive spin on a negative scenario

If necro is so ‘broken’ please go play another class or maybe I am just blind and don’t see our apparent inadequacies, still I don’t think we need yet another one of these posts (i’ve lost count)

Is there a /who command so we can easily see how many people are playing which class at any time? Its possible that with so few people playing Necros, fixing us just isn’t worth the trouble until they get around to it, which could be a year from now, which reinforces my belief that they truly don’t care. I would’ve stopped playing after a month if there was a monthly fee. Luckily, I can hang around hoping ANET actually proves me wrong=)

So this is the only reply we can get from a dev not a yes we are looking at the necromancer and actually working on it. Just a general we look at every class reply I mean at least rangers got reassurance that stuff was being worked on for them. I swear its like the only thing we hear in the necro forums are attempts to keep people waiting while nothing ever happens.

they probably are waiting untill we can join the rank of the necromancer army ourself.

Please don’t boycott the forums. Even if we don’t have time to respond to each of your threads, we still use these threads to get tons of information.

As I’ve said in other posts on the forums, we are watching, even if we can’t post in every thread. We are working to fix bugs for ALL classes, Necromancer included. I’m sorry we can’t do everything as fast as you’d like, but GW2 is a massive game!

We may not agree with every post from every poster (and, as you know, you often disagree among yourselves) but these forums are still a great tool! We’re here, we’re listening, we’re just also super busy trying to make this the best game possible.

I honestly didn’t read more than the OP post, but seriously boycotting?

I’ve been one of the more adamant posters and even I think you’re taking this way too seriously.The game works at it’s core. Boycotting just because one class doesn’t work all the way is just silly.

I’m pretty sure all the hard working developers over in ANet are taking in all the serious conversations we’ve had over specific necromancer mechanics and such and are taking it into consideration with all the metric data they grab from PvE, WvW, sPvP and tPvP.
As they said, they are really proud of Guild Wars 2 and its crowning achievement for being a somewhat balanced MMO. Every class suffers its own calamities, they are probably working out the kinks because the reality is that this project is massive.
