I think we have another horrid DS bug.
Best bet is find a empty pvp server in the mists and try it out with a thief buddy. I would help you out but my laptop cant run gw2. I miss having my desktop so much.
I think it has been proven that conditions do actually do more damage in DS than pure physical damage because of the way our LF bar works, in percentages.
I have also heard a few other people mentioning what you said, how some things proc when hit in DS even though their health bar and DS bar is well above even 50% so that would actually make a lot of sense. Here’s hoping someone can test this further!
The game considers Necro to be at 0% when in DS because it was originally the downed state of Necromancer.
tested – does NOT affect HS damage when at 100% LF or 10% LF when health is 100%.

I remember those times. That was before the press beta weekend, I believe. A profound shame that they can’t fix things like minion AI or DS given that they had all this time since launch plus the beta weekends.
80 Necro, 80 Ranger, 80 Warrior, 80 Mesmer, 80 Engineer.

So break it down for me.
Health at 100% – Heartseeker hits for X
Health at 100%, DS at 100% in DS form – Heartseeker hits for Y
So does X = Y?
I think the question was less, does the HS damage increase work off the percentages of your DS bar working as a psuedo health bar, and more, does the HS attack against a necro in DS form deal the same amount as the HS attack against a necro at 25% HP.
Also, one should try all possibilities for the most accurate results.
Health <25%, DS <25% = Heartseeker X
Health <25%, DS >25% = Heartseeker Y
Health >25%, DS <25% = Heartseeker Z
Health >25%, DS >25% = Heartseeker W
80 Necro, 80 Ranger, 80 Warrior, 80 Mesmer, 80 Engineer.
Shouldnt “Last Gasp” trigger when we enter DS too then?
I was really hoping to use vampiric runes to go with the whole vamp vibe of it.
alts: Fangyre (Necro), Hardrawk (Ele);
Jade Quarry
Decaying Swarm definitely triggers when you go into Deathshroud.
Wow that really bites.
I mean decaying swarm might actually be kind of nice for an automatic swiftness boon when you DS but it bites that they havent fixed all these other things being wasted.

Well, while we’re on the subject, I think I found another one. This one is in our favor.
If a necro is under the effects of Illusion of Life and is in death shroud when it ends, the necro will continue to function normally, even if nothing died during that time.
I would like to test this more carefully, as the one time I did it was during a boss in CoF. I did end up going down again shortly after leaving death shroud due to damage I took. Still, the icon for Illusion of Life was no longer on my status bar when I exited death shroud.
It would be nice if there was some kind of indication from the devs whether this is a bug or intended. I doubt they can bust us for abusing the Siphoned power “bug” being as we can’t avoid using it, but people should be put on notice if it’s going to disappear one day.
What? Last time i checked this, almost a month ago now, they fixed the DS HP trigger bugs, tested both in spvp and pve.
