LOL perhaps that’s the reason A.Net thinks Necro’s are fine. Their NPC Necro is still pre nerf.
That’s because he is using Death Shroud properly.
Lol!!! Priceless.
Holy kitten, batman!
lol…. I’m depressed now…

5k crits as a necro without using a channel or lich form… one can dream.
I got a 5.2k crit on a guy in wvw yesterday with life transfer on the last tick
it is possible.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I was under the impression that ticks for multi-hit abilities are just showing you the total damage done. So in this case, the whole Life Transfer did 5.2k damage.
I think each tick is a separate damage amount. Can we get a red to confirm/deny?
youuuu dont need confirmation. Just look at the target’s health bar. If you Aoe lifetap for 5k, and he has 80% of his health left, you did 5k total.
This is the case with all channeled abilities in game like the ranger’s #2 button or warriors 100 blades. (11k last hit, you think that was per tick?)
Well so far it has appeared to me whenever I used life transfer that the damage is per tick.
So now we are in disagreement and I neither of us can prove our thinking 100% beyond a shadow of a doubt; thus confirmation please.
Lol, damage from channel abilities is accumulated. The 5.2k crit you are seeing off life siphon is your entire damage from the skill, the last hit just happened to crit. Otherwise you would see massive chunks of their hp being taken down with each hit.
If you can’t figure that out just from using the ability, then I don’t know what you’re on.
You can look in your combat log and see that it didn’t tick for 5.2k on the last tick. It’s most certainly all the ticks added up (look in your combat log). Also, Phamtrinli, I run pretty much that same build with the same runes/traits except I traded out my last eagle rune for another + prec. rune (Rata Sum). 80%+ crit and 100%+ crit damage can be fun.
Nearly an entire Heartseeker worth of damage in a single 5 second channel? I am reporting this to Anet IMMEDIATELY. This NPC is CLEARLY abusing the overpowered “Death Shroud” mechanic.

it’s not, it’s common knowledge. The day necros get 5k crits on non-channel/non-lich form attacks is the day when power/crit builds are on par with every other class.

If you hit 5k per hit every character would be down in 5 hits.
