Probably a newby question, but does having more power or condition damage increase the amount of damage / con. damage my minions can do? Basically I want to know if stacking power is important for a minionmancer.

No it doesn’t scale with power nor condition damage. It’s static.
By the way Power it’s important when it comes to be more dmage dealer focused.
For instance in my build i prioritize Toughness > Power > Crit Chance, and focus on single target damage with Axe to be more useful to my team.

Alright thanks. I’ve been doing conditions and minions together and it’s been working pretty good, just wanted to make sure I’m not gimping my minions by doing so

No, at all, Minions in a way are nice for that, they don’t require you to build stats for them, so over the traits you can stack power, condition damage or healing power.
By the way you won’t be as effective as any other spec in damage (both DD than Dot) or healing.

That’s what I’ve heard, but I’ve made it to level 80 as a minionmancer and I enjoy the gameplay much more than pure conditionmancer. I am definitely looking forward to them fixing minion AI but otherwise I’m happy.

Minions are too squishy atm i think. I haven’t seen any high level necromancers use minions build to run dungeons or WvWvW. Im a big fan of running dungeons and I wish they could give minions little bit more survivability meaning more defense and health. For the special dungeon like fractal of the mist, they should give minions agony resistance, lv 10 agony can pretty much take out all minions. Sometimes i feel the essence of being a nercomancer isn’t fully shown in this game. We’re supposed to be resurrector of the death not just death.

@LanceKing, i exposed my thoughs in another post, can’t remember in which thread, it would be nice if the Minion Master would have a specific mechanic of his own characterising him, like in GW1, getting an Horde, raising, taking care of it and gaining bonuses from it, something that would make it nice to play, attractive. Atm the real problem it’s the pets are just a Summon and Use, Re-Summon and Re-Use tool, nothing special, we don’t have synergies with it, they just deal some physical damage and keep aggro for 2-3 seconds before dying. It’s a really raw and flat system.
It would be nice if Developers would keep in consideration our good ideas to make it better.
