Is Necro for me?
If you want to hit high direct damage you should probably go Warrior or something imho, Necros aren’t the best at direct damage.
THAT BEING SAID, there are a few decent DPSing options if you really want to go glass cannon Necro… check the build compilation thread, there’s a glass cannon build video there.

Hi. I like playing glass builds that make things boom. Is necro for me? I saw a video of someone hitting 30k dmg with Axe.

There are a few very specific builds that do high burst damage on Necros, but if you are looking for huge numbers this isn’t the class for you. You are looking for Warriors or Thieves; or specific Mesmer/Ele builds.
It’s not your typical go-to burst class, but i think its safe to say all professions have decent zerker builds. Whether it suits you comes down to enjoying the profession itself.
There are ways to burst with necromancer, but raw power is not really one of them. Warrior or thief would be better suited for you. That said, there are ways to gain insane burst damage with necromancers, and we shine at ripping bursters apart.

It does. If you’re playing a warrior. Mine hits for maybe 1k over the two hits.

On normal mobs the most ive hit is about 1.2k with each hit on the axe in full beserker.
