I mean this in two senses: that it’s a mostly unhelpful skill, and that it’s sad to see a cute little zombie T-Rex guinea pig be born only to die seconds later.
I have been paying a lot of attention to the little guys lately, to see if there was some distinct benefit to them that I was missing. They give a small life force boost when they die, which is okay. And if you’re killing swarms of enemies, then they’re a bit of help. But I run a siphoning wells/condi build, and they really feel “off” in the theme of my character.
I can see them being more useful with the Death Nova trait, but being that I’m not a minion master, I don’t see why I would take that option. Additionally, if that were the case, it could result in unwanted aggro while running through a zone.
I don’t know what the best choice for this would be. My tentative suggestion would be to move the jagged horror up to grand/master tier, and buff him a bit. So he dies really quickly, but while alive, he kicks butt. If he did significant damage, or better yet, applied conditions on hit (vulnerability, perhaps? Having an undead rodent nipping at my ankles would definitely affect MY defenses…), then he would be more viable for non-minion builds, and it would be worth taking up a trait slot for.
Just my two cents.
