They do appear to live longer at higher levels though – maybe they just get more HP so it isn’t eaten away before they have taken 3 steps.

They do last longer at higher levels. But they still die quite fast. And it makes them totally useless at low levels since they can die before they even get a chance to animate an attack. At the very least, Death Nova gives them a purpose.

Remove the auto-bleed, bump up their Hps a lot and push it to a higher tier and problem solved, since ANET thought they were too strong where they are. So they just made them die before they could really do anything, making them mostly useless.

I agree that they are pretty useless (and waste a trait slot), but hey, at least they reach my next target now most of the time…^^°

no kidding, I would rather the minion come out of the ground and start hitting me for regen. I think I saw one of them come out of the ground once and hit a target for like 300 dmg, and then die.

Mostly they go running for some stupid mob way off and die on the way. I just ignore them, but it is a waste of a trait. Feel we could get something useful, like the thing charges and where it dies, a small well of blood is created. or a small well of suffering/corruption, etc. DO SOMETHING.

I stick with my suggestion that they should be replaced with a mini bone wurm, or perhaps be given a ranged attack. Then at least they have a chance at doing some damage before they time out. Other option would be that each attack hurts them rather than this automatic bleed they have at the moment.

Don’t give lifeforce. THe only minion on death that gives life force is your Elite. And your worm if you actively kill it.

You can easily gain 10% life force by summoning the elite and then changing the elite. I do it often in sPvP most consistent way of gaining life force along with the worm.
