So I’m just coming back to game after quitting just a few months after release I hear the content and stuff has had some good updates so I’m wondering how are necros i plan on starting a new fresh new Chara and necros were my fav class so im curious how they are now?

In PVE, necros are really no different than any other class. There is no one class that can’t do any of the PVE content. In dungeons warrior, guardian, and mesmer are considered “meta” classes due to how those three classes combined with each other literally face roll everything. You won’t need to worry about people passing you up for groups though. There are plenty of groups out there for all classes. I would suggest using gw2lfg.com for dungeons.

In PVP you might find yourself a little distraught, however. Necros need support from other classes to do well there. They’re pretty bad in WvW as a roaming class or solo queing in tPvP. However, necros do fine when following the zerg in WvW or with a coordinated team in tPvP. Just don’t fall behind though or you’ll quickly get eaten.

I would suggest looking up some of Nemesis builds sticked at the top. He has some pretty decent leveling/PVE builds.

Three point method to learning about the Necromancer (to become great is a lot longer haha).

1). Check out CHIPS Encyclopedia of Necro Abilities

2). Check out Nesmesis Youtube Guides

3). Check out all the awesome But of Corpse Podcasts and runs put on by sittingonacouch.com

4). Keep asking questions, the Necros have become crazy with knowledge sharing :P.

I’ll pretty much second kravick on this… you need others. It’s not fun/reasonable to try pvp solo with necro. Lack of mobility kills it on the spot.
