Just got Lichform, excellent but a female version would be good eh?

Of course perhaps they have made a generic one as there are other races. My toon tunrs into a dude whenever I assume “the form”.
Anet, female one please?

Or a charr and asura specific ones (for charr just take baelfires god form and turn it green, for asura the demonic rat ghost thing you get to fight in orr).

Naaa, the Lich is male. ‘s just that. I’m arguing a lot about the sexism ingame and stuff, but the Lich? Heck, that’s fine.
Now, a race-specific god of death -thingy….that would be nice
Btw – have you seen it dance?

Necros has much more problems to focus on at the moment, imo.
After they have fixed the bunch of bugs and balance issues the Necro has, they may reduce the Lich dimension or just dump that horrible big green thing and replace it with a cool reaper form with the same skills.

I agree with this. This sort of thing is an aesthetics issue (much like our poor minion graphics). We can address the sexism that’s running rampant through the fictional underworld when our traits work.

I quite like the current form, and dumping it sounds like a waste. I’m not feeling any rampant sexism (that’s a pretty strong word, don’t you think?), though should an eventual fix come up in the form of two smaller, less clunky forms for each gender, I’d like it if the old version is still accessible somehow.

Greneth may as well be running the underworld branch of Dunder-Miflin. I hear they just had another diversity in the work place seminar.

the lich has a sex?
err… did you really seen it? Oo
kinky!

Due to sharing a skin with team Grenth, he looks like a huge, glowing, horned, floating, muscular guy.
Terok, you need more than one isolated example to justify “rampant”.

Lich’s are asexual.

Did someone say Asura specific Lichform? _
That would be so coooool.
I also agree it’s a little weird for the females to change gender when they become a Lich. Female form would also be nice.
Maybe one day… a few years from now… they’ll get around to the little aesthetic details like these.
While we’re dreaming, how about race-specific turrets for engineers…

I agree.
A femme fatale Death Witch would be cool. Or Vampiress????
Just make her eerie. (and sexy)

if the poster complaining about sexism is trolling, they get a 10/10 from me.
he just want to look at gigantic green tatas…

I laugh at whoever says this game is sexist. I mean kitten really? no offense, but the entirety of the charr lore is about how the charr women earned their place in the world by overthrowing the flame legion.
then we have 3 of the 5 destiny’s edge members being female,
most of the charr leaders you meet are female,
at least 4(5 if you count lyssa as 2 people) of the 6(7 if you count lyssa as 2) human gods are female,
Asura/norn don’t care about gender to any extent,
Sylvari are extremely open minded,
ect.if the poster complaining about sexism is trolling, they get a 10/10 from me.
Its pyre who overthrew the flame legion, lyss is something in between (then again melandru is asexual just as all beings made of flora and sex is unknown to grenth and dhuum since it isnt something thats possible or needed in death), Sylvari are all one hive mind and also as said for melandru, asexual (they do feel love and stuff, but sex is only for looks).

I actually didn’t mean to derail this, I thought my Dunder-Miflin reference made clear that I was just joking.

The Lich was/were male and not a god in GW1, the lore is already set in stone.
Would have liked to see the god forms return but oh well.
Plants have a sex, there’s male, female, and other… It’s just that most real-world plants need a third party to ‘do it’ – eg. bird, bee, etc.
Gods of the underworld (Grenth and/or Duum) is not the same as death so yes, they can have a gender and are modeled on a male type body. Though IIRC we never see Duum and I haven’t read the books. And the dead certainly do have gender, it may not be needed anymore but they have it, just look at the Risen and ghosts of Ascalon – there are female and male.
As for certain races not being ‘all that interested in the opposite sex’ or gender not being all that important – they may have evolved to the point where gender is socially acceptable, but they clearly point out which ones they want to ‘do it with’ and still tease each other about getting their behinds handed to them by the opposite sex. Just pay attention to the npc dialog and you’ll hear all kinds of stuff.

…
The game’s lore is not sexist at all, I agree on that (and greatly appreciate it). Now, if you look at the female scholar armors (or even the heavy ones, what with the boob-armor), or even the human and norn female body types during beta, that’s another matter entirely…
But this is not the place for that discussion, and frankly, I’m tired of it.
Anyhow, I have no qualms about turning into a giant, male-looking, green-glowing god of death. Especially as an asura. So much fun

I don’t understand why the form is so masculine. I mean, necromancers are casters, and in Lich Form you don’t really use those bulging muscles at all.
Bottom of the list issue, though, compared to getting the class’s everything to actually work.
