Just hit 80, looking for staff healing build.
Not sure why you want one but here goes.
Take transfusion instead of blood well on revive. More healing from it and its moving aoe.
Possibly ditch 20 in curses unless u want to get chilling darkness and use wod.
Take protection on wells since you are stuck with them. You don’t need unbreakable marks.
If u do take transfusion and ditch 20 in curses go for reduced cooldown in DS.
10 more points in SR will give u SA at 50% hp and life force on marks to help generate it since ur with staff.
Other then that… some healing runes… maybe like dwana or if this is for pvp lysa.
If you go for chilling darkness… flock if it still works with chilling darkness.
For weapon runes… dono. Blood/on kill healing?… aoe heal on swap? Up to you… if you go for chilling darkness there are chilling duration increase available.

Sadly no builder is really up to date for pve so i cant really link it, but the new on swap heal is way better than water sigils and runes depend on type of build/range you wanna be at.
lol, I had to check this was the necro forum when I saw this post at the top this morning.
If you were looking for a pve healing build, this is about as pure support/heal as you can go, but I’m warning you now, you won’t be killing stuff fast. I just tweaked what you originally linked. One thing to remember: when using wells, always opt for power because wells only scale off of power. If you want a condition based build though, let me know I can throw a support version of that together for you too.

If you were wondering why I put the chest piece only as a cleric piece, if it were another givers, it would only give an extra 1% boon duration, which is moot. the clerics gives more healing and the chest piece has the most stats so I chose that. As for the buff foods, you can really use any buff foods you want I just like those because it gives you a free extra condi removal.

~I could promise you the same…but it would be a lie…
I got bored, so here’s the condition damage version, if anyone even cares :P

Check this build out
Hey guys, So my guild just got into guild wars 2 about a week ago and i just hit 80. I am now looking for some kind of build for a healing build, again i just hit 80 so i have no lvl 80 gear and gems etc.
This is the rough build i have right now: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fQAQNBmWDbESrSPZzTjePBIp46nneQ+4iHpYYiB
Any help is appreciated guys. later.
There is no decent support Necro build. No such build exists, because Necro cannot support as well as Warrior, Guardian, or Elementalist.

Or mesmer… or engineer. Or spirit ranger :P
Did you want a personal healing build or one for group support? Wells and signets are for group support, which require different trait allocation than personal vampiric and minion leaching heals.
Necromancer really does not do party healing and buffing very well but does much better supporting itself through minion, vampiric, spectral, and DS skills.
It’s quite obvious isn’t it, they have a tank (so a guardian or warrior) and need a healer since they have 3 DPS.
Atleast it seems like that, which is stupid as kitten but oh well.

Not if you’re trying to play it like those support roles, no. But necro does support just fine if you play it as a support necro not a necro trying to pretend it’s a guardian….

He’s looking for a healing staff build. That sounds like a Guardian to me. Regardless, support Necromancers aren’t as useful for supporting as other classes. The only thing they’re good for in terms of support, is condition removal and Regen. Which our condition removal was nerfed, by the by.

Regardless of if a Necromancer can or cannot support as well as other classes, the OP was asking for a necro support build, not to be told that he cannot do it.

I’m giving him advice to seek something else out. Essentially that’s like someone asking for an underwater house made of particle board. You could try building it for him, or explain to him what is wrong with that notion.

Or you could just give him what he asked for. Necro support has been my main role in this game since launch and to this date I have yet to find anyone complain about it. it’s harder to run than the other more spammable necro builds, but it still works just fine if you know how to play it right. And by your logic, anyone using a staff is trying to be a guardian right? So a support ele in wvw is trying to play as a guard does? Because I can guarantee you they do not, yet they play a pretty important key role in zerg defense and healing. Idk what’s gotten you so angry in the necro forums these days, but you need to take your confrontation level back a bit if you want anyone to take you seriously anymore.

Yes necros can support very well vs the best GvG comps in the game, all while doing decent pressure.
I consider my GvG necro build a support build. http://gw2gvg.com/leaderboard.php?r=na Proof is in the pudding as they say

Care to post the build? I always like swapping notes with fellow supportmancers

Getting back on track, set yourself up with some healing gear; cleric’s, shaman’s, magi, apothecary. Build up that healing stat with whatever but do not go glassy. Get some toughness and vitality.
Weapons: staff, scepter/dagger
Utilities: Well of Blood, Well of Power, Well of Darkness, and Signet of Undeath
As pure support, your job is to minimize group damage. Heals will be pathetisad compared to your group’s own heals so do not rely on them alone.
20/10/20/20/0
Spite: Signet Mastery, Chill of Death
Curses: Focused Rituals
Death Magic: Staff Mastery, Ritual of Protection
Blood Magic: Mark of Evasion, Ritual Mastery
Recommend using sigils for additional chills
Use staff for regen, condition transfer / cleanse, chill, and fear
Use scepter to proc chills on crit using a sigil because scepter has good range and part of your job is to never go down.
Use dagger for blind as much as possible
Dodge near anyone needing more regen
Spam your wells
