Just to say

At least their reading the Forums lol! Im sure a lot of us remember when there was 0 red posts. Hopefully one of them accidentally clicks on the Necro sub forums while reading the others. XD
Might as well give them good ideas so revenant will be playable.
I think I should remove this quote given the recent developement.

Ours is in between Mesmer and Ranger.
I wouldn’t count on it.

When I see what they might do to “tomes” for guardians, I can’t restrain myself to think that they might have some plans like that for every professions transformations in game.
Which would probably lead to plague being changed into a well skill and lich form being totally reworked because it could probably fit spectral or corruption but not without some major change here.
Peeps that like these 2 elite transformation should enjoy them as they are at the moment and grit their teeth in wait of what they got for them.

Why can’t Guardians get good changes? If ANet is making good changes, it should be a sign that they are noticing and changing things. Tomes were garbage, its a good thing that they change, and frankly they could change our transforms really easily and I wouldn’t cry. If you turned Plague into a PBAoE area blind that also pulses protection and stability (or something comparable that pulses blind and makes you tankier) then you’ve taken the main use of Plague and made it better since now you can cast. Same with Lich, just make it some kind of massive power boost that pulses stability and you’ve got a better Lich form. With that they can also fix the minion/moa issue.
If our elites cease being transforms, we won’t lose utility access, we won’t lose minions on activation, and we will still have synergy with other spectral skills.
+1 ANet for change.
Like Anet would actually do such a thing for us… Dream on my friend, we all dream with you

They avoid directly speaking with us because they want to stick with no active defense and keep the second HP concept going.

come on guys, anet has favored the guardian since this game launched, it is one of the most solid classes in every aspect of this game. At no point in time did anyone say, hey, guardians are weak. Yes, they don’t have amazing range, but they have all the things that are needed to be wanted in pvp, pve, and wvw. Did you expect one of their golden children to go without in a new expansion? no.
Necros? they dont give two kittens.

How they still think this is a second hp bar is beyond me. Even people with an IQ of bread should notice that that is complete BS. If they just started to see it as a manashield/force shield, and realize that these types of abilities are not only balanced but a LOT stronger than what we have (no locking out of skills or healing specifically), they might finally get their heads out heir kitten. And even then it still wouldn’t scale with multiple enemies like most manashields do by having either a set decay, or a maximum of “damage” they can take per second…

They have directly spoken with us before when it was appropriate. None of the professions have devs casually posting in the forums all the time, they only drop by to address specific things.
I really wish they’d just make it so our Death Shroud bar always started at maximum and it was up to us to keep it topped up.
Starting at max would be way too strong. There are a lot of changes they could make, including better LF gains, but that isn’t one.

Why would it be too strong? I keep hearing people say this, but I’ve never heard a good argument as to why.
You still have no range, no real mobility and no way to reliably retain Life Force when in Death Shroud. The mechanic is pretty self balancing – full or not.
Do you feel overpowered when it’s full now? No. So you really wouldn’t if it started full.

It’s not appropriate right now ?

I rather LF be a constant degenerating resource that grant us reduced damage taken or/and life regeneration and we can build it through normal weapon/utilitys and death shroud allows us to spend the life force at faster rate but give us access to more rewarding skills
i just realized this is like a reverse reverent
If Rocket Charge is only 2 leaps then it should look like 2 leaps
True Shot should be cast on the move
It’s not appropriate right now ?
No more than the 7 other professions they aren’t talking to. Guardians are getting “special” attention because they are getting a “special” change.

I don’t reproach your optimistic attitude. Let’s wait for necro specialization and see if they think about it for base necro.

Actually with full Necro would be extremely strong in 1v1’s and some 1v2 scenarios. Starting at half would be enough imho.

Is full Life Force “extremely” strong in 1 v 1’s now? It’s good – but so is Signet Of Stone, or Berzerker Stance. I really fail to see why we shouldn’t have it.

agree. w/o lifeforce against rangers at 1200 we get chewed apart and die in a burst

Now that I think about it many specs would can still decimate it quickly, negate, avoid it or just not care lol. I’ll just keep saying greater LF gain doesn’t matter if you are getting tossed around and you have the slowest cast times, unless like they did with Spite they add traits to do the works for us. Now that I think about it do one of them really play necro actively lol?

Apparently one does, but the favourite of his is Mesmer, which he also is responsible for. How they can have a game they want to be played as eSports and not have a full time balance team consisting of 1-3 mains of each profession is beyond me, anyways.
