LF Necromancer Veteran Giant DPS Test Videos
Can you please link it ?
Btw which build can do it the fastest? Hybrid,Condition or Power?
Condition DPS is capped at 3500, hybrid is a bit faster then condition… i believe power, but a modified version…
I’ll do a test kill, won’t prove much though, fractals/dungeons are not the same as a giant kill.

Ohh, Can i use your glass cannon build in dungeons ?
Nemesis replied to my post,Awesome !
Power Necro’s are very viable in Dungeons because Death Shroud and Kiting properly will ensure your survival.
I have a ton of fun with mine in dungeons. Necro packs a respectable enough punch, while backing it up with solid survivability and control. They don’t do the damage of GS Zerker Warriors, but nothing does.
I could record a power test today, though my editing skills suck so hard I don’t even know how to get accurate time on it.
I think I should remove this quote given the recent developement.
I recorded a few variations… i already knew which one would be highest, and i was right…
Tried a few variations of the power build, but i want to test out a “forced” conditionmancer modified with minions so i can make a few points.
Will make a video about it, and will post it soon

Great, looking forward to it.
~19-20 seconds judging by the cooldown of BiP.
Full berserker with ruby orbs
Sigil of force+bloodlust
VI/VIII/XII

VI/II/XII
Full bloodlust stack, butternut squash/superior sharpening stone as foods.
Could use scholars+sigils of night/undead slaying and potion of undead slaying for even bigger boost but I kept it as general dps. Also speed to rotation could be faster (used 1 unnecessary axe auto, could maybe use DS5)
I think I should remove this quote given the recent developement.

I have video with minons and a full condition build. I can post it if there is any interest in seeing it. It was about 4-5 seconds slower than the just posted power build, which makes sense considering that build doesn’t have the high spike high cooldown damage from wells.
I would say from experience, hybrid is going to be your weakest solo single target DPS on a vet mob. On a champ mob, I would say that hybrid will outpace power because of cooldowns, but conditions will outpace both because of DPS over-time. All supposing one bleeder on one target.
I would love to get some other power/hybrid necros to try out the champ just south of there and post times on that one. My personal opinion is that conditions when there are no other bleeders present are the highest sustained DPS of any build, but cannot prove it as my power gear is not optimized (not full ascended power gear).
Looks like you guys beat me to it… wanted to showcase multiple scenarios from different normal builds and modified builds (modified for this event only).
I’ve also seen a warrior do it in 6 seconds… heh… quickness, not fair.

Yeah it was prenerf quickness… though still insane. If i went through and perfected my buffs, I could maybe reach ~15 seconds.

Dagger Auto does more damage than the new Lifeblast BTW…. even with the trait.

Hey Targuil,
was the Sigil of Force+Bloodlust in the Dagger/Warhorn?
What Sigils you use than in the Axe/Focus?

There’s ALOT of theorycrafting in the other threads regarding this same thing. We came to a conclusion that in reasonable situation the dps difference was below 1%. (DS tailored build vs Dagger tailored build).
Hint: Note how every hit crits compared to dagger.
I agree that warrior banner and permafury from outside sources would put the dps in favor of dagger overall.

Same sigils in both weapons.

Is Force really superior to Fire (or in this case, Air)?
Is Force really superior to Fire (or in this case, Air)?
I’m not quite sure, I use it in my staff for burst power. Thing is that after my intial burst my hits per second drop dramatically (only lifeblasts) that even if I crit every time it’s still going to take a while to proc, dropping its damage potential. For dagger users It might very well be better, haven’t used it for a long time though.

Can someone tell me the times other classes can do this ?
And nice Video btw
EDIT: just found a Staff Ele with 11,7 sec and a Warrior with about 10 sec post quickness nerf

Think of it this way. Force is going to increase your damage by 5% from all sources if you have that weapon out. That means locust swarm ticks hit for 5% more, wells tick for 5% more and every auto attack does 5% more. It adds up to a significant damage increase overtime. Whereas sigils of fire/air have a 5 second internal cooldown. During those 5 seconds you could of hit quite a considerably amount of times with various attacks. Id say air/fire are better on a DS build than a dagger build but then the dmg scaling on lifeblast would still suggest a flat dmg boost is better.
Hmm.. You’re right. Of course Fire is AoE so in any occasion it goes off in the middle of mobs its value goes up. Apparently it does not crit and hits for an average of 900.
I did some napkin math (based on my Rifle/SD engineer) and 5% off her auto-attacks (around 2k-ish without any buffs) is 500 damage in a five second period. It almost catches up. but then another 5% from all SD lightning and another +5% from the toolbelt skills themselves and it has way surpassed Fire.
