I get that it looks cool to be bigger, and I agree, but 3x longer than the staff?

I feel like this is overdone. I don’t really look like a reaper as much as I do a giant weapon flopping around. In fact, it has such a long shaft compared to the blade that I don’t even see the blade when it moves, just a dark green fuzz with a trail.

I think a shaft 2X the length of staff with the same size blade would have looked a lot better. Maybe it would feel like I’m actually cutting instead of beating things with a long smokey stick.

Agreed. Thank you Anet for showing our class a great amount of focus and making us closer to viable and making sure we are just as baddass as ever.

I love my oversized scythe don’t change it.

Its length may be tied to attack range so the animation looks right.

A spectral scythe weights nothing, so why would a necromancer make it small?

I was of the same opinion, then I noticed that the sythe looked like a raven’s eye….at that point my impression of it changed immediately.

I love it a lot.

I enjoy it a lot, and I also think it plays much better into the horror monster vibe with an oversized weapon, so I think it should stay as-is.

More than anything, I just wish my character held it right. Not sure if anyone else noticed, but often times my human (male) wasn’t even holding the scythe with his left hand, it dipped significantly below my gripping hand. :P

Was the same for sylvari (male). Yeah i hope that gets fixed.

Wasn’t the first thread about this exact same thing enough?

Also, I love the look of the scythe, don’t change it.
