Level 30 Necromancer rookie question
Only way to get stability on necro is use lich form or plague form elites or trait 30 points into soul reaping for foot in the grave. We have a few stunbreaks but they are all high cooldown and weak compared to other classes. We have spectral grasp for a pull control effect and the flesh golem charge for a knockdown. Still not much choice in these departments. Its the main reason we are considered so weak in spvp.

Ahhh okay. Thanks for your reply.

I just started my Necro (level 40 now) and I’ve noticed this too. However, they do have a different play style. While necros don’t have a lot of stunbreaks, we handle them by applying Fear.
Reaper’s Protection which does area Fear when cc’ed, 90s cd. We also have Doom, the Death Shroud skill #3 (the furthest range out of all our Death Shroud skills), which can be casted while under cc. I remember while being knocked back by centaurs, I can change to Death Shroud, mid-flight, and Fear them away. With a 20 second cd, you can do this pretty frequently. Even untraited, we can apply Fear more frequent than a Guardian applying Stability with a traited Stand Your Ground. Extremely powerful if you ask me.
Necro would be my 3rd alt, and the play style is completely different. We don’t get out of stuns, but instead we Fear them away so they don’t do anything to us while we’re down.
I wouldnt say that but u used the work “rookie” in the title and i though that u might find it usefull…
All hard CCs (stun, daze, knockdown, knockback etc) are removed when u use a skill which “breaks stun” nad we have 4 of them if i m not mistaken but they all have quit long cooldowns.
There are also soft CCs (chill, immobilize, cripple etc) that are conditions and u can remove them with any skill that removes conditions and we have plenty for that purpose
Finally fear is both a condition and a hard CC meaning u can remove it with “break stun” skills and condition remoavl skills.

Exactly. You have to change your mindset if coming to Necro from other professions. You are not going to disengage from fights or avoid CC as a general rule (some outlier exceptions exist using Dark Path, Flesh Wurm, or Spectral Walk).
Instead, approach the Necromancer with the mindset that once you engage in combat, you’re there to see it through to the bitter end (where you’re concerned) or your opponent manages to escape (where they’re concerned). It’s rare you will be able to disengage, so pick your battles carefully.
