Guild Wars 2

Hey guys i bought GW2 a couple days ago and so far i’ve tried out every class, and the Necro hands down is the funnest to play! Right now i’m level 15 and I was wondering if I could get you guys’ opinions about what build you used for leveling as i’m still trying to decide between MM and Condition.

in my experience, power with dagger/x and well of suffering/well of corruption are better for low level than conditions.

when i played MM, the pets were always on cooldown from being killed by rabbits, and condition wasn’t adequate without more survivability than i had at low level.

with power/wells, i can take out a gruop of 5 with both wells and life transfer.

though, if you’re set on those 2, i’d take condition over MM until you can get the MM traits.

I just used scepter & focus when levelling up – Necro’s are pretty tanky, but if you get into trouble just kite the mob and let your bleeds take care of business.

Necro is pretty strong in PvE… i would hold off on the minion build until they fix minions.

Keep a warhorn in your bag to swap in for speed… also staff in the secondary weapon slot is good for events & bosses.

If you have even the slightest desire to go MM, go ahead and level up as one. Cause you won’t be playing MM once you hit 80.

Staff and dagger/focus. Pump power and precision. Well of Suffering and Well of Corruption. That’s all you need to level with necro…anything else and you slow yourself down a ton.
