Lich - Marked for Death = Taunt?
Lich is a DPS Elite. Plague is the one you’re looking for.

I’d actually really prefer people not being forced to attack me while in Lich.

Pulsing Taunt would be broken as hell, though.
Plague wouldn’t need to pulse it, necessarily. Maybe add Taunt on cast.
For pulsing Taunt, could we have Flesh Golem pulse it every 10-15 seconds or so? Just 1 second at a time.
At least then he would be useful in combat.
Or just give it another skill.

This ^.
The fact that you cannot heal or use any of your utility skills in lich forms makes it a prime target for being focused.
Maybe if it had fear instead.
Plague has a couple of extra slots. We can only hope the empty slots receive a couple of group support skills out of the new boons and conditions.
I think it’s a very good idea to bring more people in the center of your plague, more targets is always good. It can taunt on plague activation or something.
AOE taunt would be awesome on Lich. Apparently people here do not understand how it works. It sends the enemy at their targeted player with only AA available. If it pulsed right away, they don’t all run at you…..they run at who they are attacking. Second, it’s auto attacks. Would you rather have nothing and let them just turn and attack you with everything they got. This would only benefit and is in no way a bad thing.

Taunt forces the player to attack the person who taunted them with auto attacks. It is a reverse-fear in that sense. So no, it would force everyone to attack you in Lich.
They don’t attack you…..they run towards their target with the ABILITY to only use their AA. It doesn’t make every players character automatically start spamming kitten at you. When you go lich everyone attacks you anyway… Forcing AA only is much better result.
And just to clarify, here is the actual definition.
“Taunt is an effect that will force the taunted player to run at their target with their skill bar locked, minus stunbreakers, and only use their autoattack skill to attack”
This doesn’t force them to attack you. It makes them run at THEIR target. If they didn’t have you targeted, then they won’t be running at you….. Even if they were, it would be better than before….
Just because it has the same skill name as other MMO’s, it doesn’t mean it works the same and forces everything to attack you.
Proof of what I said, people are confused on what it does. Not a bad thing. Hopefully this clarifies it up for some.
Unless the tooltip is wrong. This is the way it works. No where does it say they involuntarily run at YOU (or ‘The caster’) when cast.

While no one knows how it works (including you), I think your interpretation is far too literal. It’s entirely more likely it works like every other taunt skill in every other game that came before it.
That said, it’s not like you can’t kite the opponents and avoid their attacks. But I still agree with the others, that lich is a bad idea. Attach it to Shadow Fiend or something.
Just make sure everyone you taunt is a necro with an axe and you’ll be ok.

Exactly that too. No matter what is taunted at you, you can move. Lich doesn’t put you in cement and they will be running in a straight line.

They’ve already shown it in game, and the taunt description, in game, is “Involuntarily attack foes.” So yes, we know how it will work, and it works exactly like Taunt has always worked, by forcing you to basic attack the person who taunted you.
