Life Stealing Floater
I would agree, but afaik there is no such thing as “real” life stealing in the game. It is just damage + healing and they are completely independent from each other. So implementation of a separate floater (like conditions and retal have) could be problematic.
Besides that, the extra damage Necros get from life stealing traits is so neglectable I don´t even bother with how much actually it is =P
I mean just look at the numbers… it´s SO bad.

They are separate from each other healing/damage wise, but those components could still show up more noticeably from other healing/damage sources.

Yeah, and they should. It would help to get people to notice the numbers better and attract interest to this type of play styles because it would be more noticeable. Visibility often equals interest.
If you want to maximize life steal, you gotta equip precision power healing power gear.
Healing power to increase the life gain amounts
Precision to increase the crit rate at which you life steal
And power so your attacks won’t be totally useless. Food and runes that increase your healing power will also increase your life steal amounts.
The maximum amount of life steal is available either through the minion master or well necro builds.
With minion master you gotta take the traits that max out the minion life siphon effects and summon as many minions as possible, including jagged horrors.
As a well necro you gotta get the trait that siphons health every time the wells pulse.
With maxed out healing power the wells will siphon 100 health per pulse. With 4 active wells that’s 400 life drained from enemies per second. Wells usually last 5 seconds, so that’s 2000 extra healing over 5 seconds. Right after which I suggest you enter death shroud and run, because that build won’t do anything good in terms if damage.
Then Toughness

The suggestion isn’t asking to make it optimal just more visible. We all know that life stealing builds are seriously under powered.

Oh, I misunderstood your suggestion. I somehow thought you wanted a combined floater for both damage and healing.
Two separate icons (same icon, different colors maybe?) next to the numbers should work of course.
SO, I played beta and launch and have been away quite a while… Thinking about coming back but disappointed to see that they haven’t made lifesteal more viable…. from the beginning i intended my necro to be a lifestealer but it wasn’t very efficient… sad to see that’s still the case after this long.
