I have been running these traits on an otherwise zerker dagger-focus build (Spite, Blood Magic, Soul Reaping) in casual PvE zergs.

For the most part, the team support this simple build offers is very good. I use DS as much as possible, especially to res after a boss’ AoE.

Will do some fractals and dungeons this weekend to confirm it but I think these two traits do enough to support PUGs in PvE, if the rest of the build is Berserker.

Thoughts on this?

if u define team support as rezzing noobs then yes its good but i think pugs got increasingly better over time to the point where most pug groups dont need a "dedicated rezzer". i think killing the boss before the boss kills your party will always be the better option. this said they are good traits with nice synergy thats really good for pvp type content. maybe this will be needed for pve in hot but i dont think its good for pve atm. but thats just my opinion.

There are a remarkable number of glass builds in PvE. Even I run one. Being a resurrection machine has some value. Ask thieves about that. Factor in event scaling and one-shot AoE and I find the two traits more useful and appreciated in PvE than Necromancer used to be. Of less use is BiP because might is even more frequently spammed than it ever was.

Might and vulnerability have become commodities.

Consider also that lack of utility in PvE was a major obstacle for Necromancer …

Maybe in zerg pve content where the people that practice said content are used to autoattacking things from range and collecting a loot bag after 5 minutes.

In dungeons, unless mechanics FORCE players to be downed, this utility will generally be a waste.

Another problem with these rez centric traits don’t matter much in actually challenging content.

When in Molten Duo or Volcanic fractal, as with any bosses in general, as soon as a player goes down this game has a nasty habit of bombing the downed body with lethal aoe that will down anybody nearby.

If a downed player gets a molten alliance firestorm’s fire zone landed on them, little short of a warbanner or some quick instant rez utility will get them up.

I intend to do some dungeons and fractals with PUGs this weekend.

I’m using transfusion for a while now but not life from death because vampiric presence gives both them and me more survivability. I’m also playing with spite and soul reaping and berzerker gear (healing from transfusion is still good) and use transfusion often to teleport downed ones out of the aoe the died in, or to keep enemies from laying new aoe at them
