I think they increased the heal from Dagger #2 not too long ago(?).
Dagger 2 got improved drastically and today they buffed Signet of the Locust very significantly. After having done a few testing rounds in PvP, I can honestly say Signet of the Locust is now good. Life Siphon (dagger 2) is also good.
Siphoning traits? Still utter crap.
Ask me dagger #2 still could use a cast time reduction so we don’t have to sit there forever trying to finish the skill before we die. Siphoning traits need to be buffed and work with ds then siphon necros will actually be a viable build like in GW1.

Agreed I don’t use the dagger 2 as a sustain skill, only when I’m the one pressuring. Trying to use it as a sustain skill is pointless most of the time since your opponent is going to be doing more damage than your dagger 2 is going to get you health. Siphons in ds would be ok I think in an attempt to make blood viable. But it’s a slippery slope on what heals we allow in ds.

All about when you use it. I find opportunities all the time to use it without taking much damage during the channel.
I use Dagger 2 almost on CD in my MM build, the only issue is the ridiculous channel time which bars you from doing so much in a build that is already clogged with ridiculous cast times.
It’s a nice filler for kiting or chasing, also great for shredding defenses based on Block Charges (shield of wrath, arcane shield etc).
