I am in the process of lvling my necro and I wanted to see what kinda build are out there for dungeons and fractals. Just to throw this out there any builds that don’t use dagger would be great i am not a fan of it :P

You’re really unlucky, the best pve build uses dagger on both switches :/

use scepter/focus with staff as secondary weapon.

use life sifoning wellomancer build.

I recommend starting another class that isn’t ranger. There’s no possible pve build for necros that can outperform the other options. Please do it for the sake of your future teammates if not for yourself.

You can do fine with a Necromancer.

You are acting like bringing a necro is an albatross around the neck of the party.

Stay out of the fire and you will be fine.

He’s right. For high level pve, necros are dragging down the party. But they are fine in pugs, casual fractals, chilled runs, etc.

You can do any PvE in any job but just figure you will hear, “Do you have another profession you can bring?” in PUGs. Necro dps is not very good, which is not bad if conditions and CC were not also generally less effective, too, due to caps and Defiant.
