Looking for a pure party support build
A pure support build probably wouldn’t be entirely viable due to a lack of support. We can’t give any boons or anything to allies. Right now our team play is more centered around boon corruption, blood magic just helps keep our allies alive a bit longer. The closest thing you could do would probably be with vampiric, transfusion, and similar traits. You could probably spec for ressing allies with transfusion, Ritual of Life, and mercy runes.

I’m running a wellomancer build now for PvE and WvW with Vampiric as one of my traits. I’m more tanky with lots of support and good damage but with a few adjustments I could be full support. Blood gives nearby friends life siphoning with is bot a damage and healing boost. Wells traited give more healing and protection and I usually take BiP which give 8 stacks of might to 5 nearby allies. You can also take condition removal and rez traits to further support. Depending on the role you want to fill.
What is this build for PvP PvE WvW?

yes, i will give this a try definitely. it misses some details about runes, sigils and gameplay etc. i will try and add my findings to it if possible.

Necros have always been pretty good at WvW. We can control the battle field with wells and marks and are pretty tanky so are good midrange. Even the most support necros can deal decent damage so we’re never fully back line healers though now that Wells are base ground targeting well of blood can be a ranged heal. For WvW you probably want to stay mid range and figure out if you want to be CC or more of a healer/rezzer. Sometimes necros biggest support role is boon removal so don’t always think in terms of boons and healing. Striping enemy buffs might be more important in a big fight.
I’ve been running around SW with Blood / Death / Soul/Curses, it’s been fun playing with it, you actually want to stand in the fire with this build.
Sceptre/Dagger + Staff, I’ve been running this with rampager(so sue me, it’s an old set I had lying around and I’m cheap.)
FYI: I’m not really a big sticker on the trait names, you may notice.)
Death:
Adept – Either better minions or extra condi removal, usually the former.
Master – minions transfer condis on attack.
Grand – Poison bomb minions.
Blood –
Adept – minor vamp sig or better movement and dagger CD reduction. Usually minor vamp sig.
Master – Vampiric.
Grand – Ideally condi ripping, but the heal/res life/leech is an option as well.
Soul – Soul over curses because Blood’s condi ripping is based on being in DS as much as possible.
Adept – Vuln/Pierce LB. Or Soul Marks if you’re having trouble with the LF gen.
Master –
Grand – Anything here. Typically I’ve been running dumbfire because with rampager the +crit rate is overkill. Haven’t tried Fitg yet Probably should.
But the option exists for curses.
Adept – plague sig trait.
Master – Boon rip dark path.
GM – I’d go for either Sceptre(and with a +burn duration sigil, you can get dumbfire up to a not entirely crap 5 sec duration) or for parasitic contagion.
Utilities:
Heal: Minion
Bone minion
Rat Grenades
Epidemic or the shadow beast(blackberry?).
Golem.
I think trait lines are pretty obvious to choose, and some of the traits.
Although @Klalejanus has minions included in his version, which I currently don’t understand how are they going to survive much in a WvW scenario.
Rym’s use of CPC to mitigate damage seems like a good idea. Excited to try that out.
For weapons choices are: 1. Dagger / war horn
2. Dagger / focus
Warhorn gives cc and more hits on enemy with are helpful with vampiric aura
Focus gives regen, vulnerability and much needed boon strip.
Vote on that guys.
For second set: staff / sceptre / axe
Which is more inclined towards support?
I like the staff, but I think dagger / focus And Axe / warhorn
Axe because it has retaliation and our high sustain is very good.
I wish we could keep retaliation up all the time.
About sigil and runes.
Sigil I would go for benevolence and renewal and more or any other supportive non selfish thing. No confusion there
About the runes however. Most of you said Mercy. And it seems viable. Any other alternative which syncs well with out build? Or that’s our only choice?
About the armour choice. I see Nomad as the only pure support stat set. Since am not personally expecting to kill anyone.
I would like your feedbacks. Or you guys think one offensive stat is better for the build.
Thanks for all the response till now. I know some people really like to play support and it will be really helpful for them too
