I got to say that the people that complains on Necromancer probably never gave it a chance. Playing as a necro is probably the best choice i did and there are so many ways to play it. Everyone is just complaining because the class the play isn’t the most imba class out there. But maybe you should just learn the class better?

I’m still learning how to properly utilize this class, however I must say that there are a plethora of bugs and general annoyances that can make even the most avid Necro fanboy pull their hairs out.

Having said that I’ve recently rediscovered the class and I’m absolutely loving it again. Especially the conditionmancer (I like seeing a kittenton of numbers fly off the screen no matter how small they are) I understand the complaints and I hope we get some fixes soon, especially my ADHD Minions need some work.

I have over 490 hours on it, check my posts and you will see a lot of complaining.
Actually, I’d wager that the people who have complained the longest and written the biggest rants and/or suggestions probably have around that same play time, since only someone actually invested to the blood class would actually spend so long trying to get ANet to fix it.

Attrition – A pretty name for taking longer than anyone else to kill something.

We have 1 or 2 decent builds, thats the problem, thats why everyone and their dog complains. Can you be competitive with conditions? Sure. The problem is a large majority of people who signed up to be necromancers actually want to, you know, summon the dead to do their bidding and BE NECROMANCERS. Not some watered down warlock/dark sorcerer whatever thing we are right now. Seeing as in every game since the dawn of time that featured necromancers has them being a primary pet class I don’t think that’s an unfair assumption by people, and they have every right to complain and be disgruntled at the current state of the class.

I haven’t been playing Necro not because the number of builds or the effectiveness of the profession. It’s simply too straightforward. Combat doesn’t feel engaging. Dagger autoattack is pretty much the best thing to do 90% of the time. Death Shroud offers little depth or customization. I love Necromancers thematically and play their equivilant in every MMO or RPG, but for a long time gamer there just isn’t enough depth.

To be fair this is largely a problem with GW2 in general. Necro just suffers from it more than most…

All you want to do is judge negatively those who complains.
Just get more experience, understand better the class and you will be one of us.
Don’t think you have more and better experience than others who criticize necro.

There are some classes that are on the top Tier when it comes to competitiveness.

Necros simply are not on that tier.

Correct response received.

Necromancer is my first and favourite class – speaking from experience garnered through five level 80 alts in total, so this standing cannot be invalidated via claims of being selective.
I’ve clocked 633 hours on my Necromancer and not once to my recollection have I encountered a bug or glitch that so infuriated me as to be unable to work around it.

I have said it before, I’ll say it again; game forums are seldom used by anyone other than those looking to complain.
The profession works.
It’s not perfect but it’s certainly sufficient.
