Title says it all. Basically I’ve been getting run by conditions lately in PVP so I decided to swap out my blood fiend for Consume conditions. I really dislike it but my build lacks any sort of condition clear aside from putrid mark… Which requires me to get near and or on top of an enemy that, while spamming conditions probably has me crippled and or immobile.

So my question is, how much do you lose not using the blood fiend?

a) Putrid removes your condis from no matter where, its a self trigger, the cleanse on mark was for allies but is currently bugged
b) CC is the “strongest” heal we got/most efficient for its slot if you dont specialize
c) You got the blood grandmaster for condi removal

Dropping Blood Fiend from your bar is pretty common, and not that bad. You lose the 300 or so HP/s, as well as a bit of damage, and any minion-related effects (like Death Nova).

On the other hand, you’ll be taking CC, which is similar HP/s (Blood Fiend wins out when activated, but its unreliable). And then you’ll be getting all that condi removal.

To anyone trying to make Blood Fiend work (as far as conditions go), you can use staff + dagger OH, Fetid Consumption, Lyssa Runes, and an option if going Fetid Consumption is to take WoP as well (drop a minion). Mix and match those options until you are satisfied.

Thank you for the imput. I’m gonna miss a minion that auto-responds on attack due to it being ranged. ((It seems flesh golem and bone minions still have issues picking up a target for me.))

I also pondered running Dagger off-hand but losing spinal shivers and in turn some critical boon removal seemed like a really bad move.

As for the WoP Fetid consumption I never thought of that combo… Either way you lose a minion sadly.

If you absolutely don’t want to lose a minion, then run Fetid Consumption along with Lyssa Runes, that should be enough.
