MM is broken, why do I hear about it in PVP?
People talk about me, that’s all, cos Im super.
Because even with the wonky AI, they still remove conditions from you and give you extra toughness while their alive. And if they go and hang out in a corner, they’re (mostly) out of harm’s way, so you maintain those buffs. Plus you can still get them off their kitten a little bit (Haunt and Charge for instance) for a brief assist
Because the build is still strong. AI issues are real, but people exaggerate how bad it is, or don’t understand how to work with them. Regardless, the build is very strong right now.

No you’re right, I have no experience playing MM and wouldn’t know how the AI works, how it bugs, or how the build performs regardless.
Golem is the only one that really matters that will bug with any regularity, bone minions die too fast and shadow fiend is used in builds where frankly who cares if the minions ever attack all it does is increase your TTK. However, there are things you can do to get golem to stop bugging after he’s bugged, including using his active which is a hard reset on aggro, but also just knowing how to re-aggro him after he resets on his own works.
Will you sometimes lose fights because of a bug? Yeah, really close ones it will matter. But that doesn’t matter, MM is strong enough right now that despite these bugs they are pretty strong.

Don’t engage when your minions are trailing too far behind you, don’t make any large Z-axis changes before engaging, wait until the minions have a very obvious flat path to the target to initiate aggro. At that point, any time minions bug out spam AAs, they will go to a “reset” position and reacquire a lot. And melee are the only ones that bug so Flesh Golem is literally the only one to worry about.

And i really wish there was a trait turning all minions invulnerable at the cost of having them not attack at all…just for the sake of proccing the condi transfers and unholy martyr like crazy lol.
Ease of play is one reason. Plus condi removal and the explosions actually do a decent amount of damage.
Dunno what comps it’s strong against, even when I go full heals the only one who stays alive for more than 10 seconds is the flesh golem.

I’ve been running MM soldier for a bit now. It’s my absolute favorite build and class thus far.
The issue you’re having is you are only half using them. Not once do you command them. They all have offensive abilities that you never bothered to use. Command the shadow fiend to attack and the other minions will follow his lead. You can stagger the commands to get them all to focus as needed. The bone minions tend to stick close to you to allow for easy exploding. You can also cause them to focus with #1 triple tap.
Minions are not summon and forget. That’s not how they work.
There s a vocal minority of Pvp players that hate hate hate anything controlled by AI in Pvp. They will constantly call for unwarranted nerfs & because of them MM will never be viable.
Look at what happened to turrets, which were a joke in high lvl Pvp.
In addition, there are 2 more things PvPers are complaining about. First, unholy martyr, which still isn’t a good trait, is generating a lot of life force from minions sitting in condition fields. Second, necromantic corruption is transferring a ton of conditions when it hits due to minion interaction with condition fields. Example: longbow warrior casts his F1 fire field, minion pulls all of your burns and transfers them along with all of its burns.

That you for teaching me how to use minions, you are right if I just command them they don’t die anymore in under 10 seconds.
