Stealing boons would be amazing…. but it is already a really good skill. I think the justification for it not stealing would be that it chills in addition to the removal and bonus damage. You can hope though.

80 Necro, 80 Ranger, 80 Warrior, 80 Mesmer, 80 Engineer.
I use spinal shivers in pvp/90% of the time its blocked because of such high cast time. Its suppost to remove boons yet aegis isn’t ignored. :/

Probably because the OP says “It should steal them and be unblockable”.
It would be cool if the boon removal portion of the skill was unblockable, while the damage and chill portion was. Would be too complicated, but it would be nice.

After the changes to warrior signets I distinctly recall people saying that ‘unblockable’ attacks signet of might grants would deal damage but not effects like stun, etc. If true, whether or not that was intentional, it would seem it’s actually possible for a block to stop part of an attack, but not all of it.
More like nothing is wrong with focus 5 except for the ludicrously long cast time that makes it unviable. Focus 4 has its shortcomings because it has the random bounce.
Arcane Thievery removes 3 boons, gives them to you, and gives 3 of your conditions to the enemy. Definitely better, but it does have a 45 second cooldown, a bit over twice as long.
That’s fair so far, but here’s what’s not, it has a 1/4 second cast time, while we are stuck with the usual Necro ponderously long 1 1/4 second cast time. Ridiculous.

Arcane Thievery takes up a utility slot as well, where as the skill in reference here does not seeing as it is a weapon skill.
I do agree that Nero skills have insanely long cast times as well as CD’s, however.
