Spectral grasp is still a bad skill even with the cooldown reduced slightly with the last balance patch. and its simply because the speed is too slow. the further the target is away from you, the more time that the target has to respond, they can dodge, block, gain stability or simply move out of its range.

i suggest one of the following

1. Significantly reduce the cooldown down to 12-14 seconds. and reduce the lifeforce gained from this skill to make up for its lack of ability to be able to hit anything

2. change the range from 1200 to 1500

3. increase the missile speed of spectral grasp

I’d be happy if they normalised both the Necro and Thief pull, so they acted the same way as Engineer’s Magnet. Remove the damage/chill and life force but make unblockable and a non projectile.

Surrender and serve me in life, or die and slave for me in death.

Honestly both of our pulls should be better. We are supposed to be the profession that is hard to run from. That imo should mean that are pulls are hard to avoid and reliable (no getting stuck in terrian halfway) also they should be faster und projectile hate shoudnt work on them (maybe they should even be unblockable).

It shouldn’t be Hunter’s Verdict v2. It just needs a more reliable projectile rather than unblockable.

They’ve gotten somewhat close for GS5 since I have MUCH better luck using that without getting terrain blocked. I wish it would pull folks off of walls a little more reliably, but it still works. I hate the lack of range on it though.

It should be looked into. I think the biggest issue it has is that it’s also just not really a good enough utility to take anywhere. It doesn’t do anything for poor land speed, it doesn’t work in GvG builds. It suffers from LoS and accuracy issues, and, quite honestly, I don’t really think anyone could find room in most builds for it, even if it did work as desired. It sacrifices a stunbreak, cleanse, corrupt, or well.

I’d sugggest giving it a stunbreak as a sort of counterpart to Spectral Armor to justify taking it as an aggressive tool for LF generation and pulls or a defensive one to negate a single CC. Spectral Armor still then has value as a stunbreak + huge LF potential gains + protection. This way Armor has more use against more enemies and works better as a strictly defensive tool with a bit of bonus offense through LF generation. It doesn’t really need a speed increase; it’s fine if it’s slow enough to react to, as we should be using it at a proper time to ensure a pull rather than spamming it hoping to pull someone in, but it shouldn’t be an ability which can just be strafed and whiff so easily. Same goes for scorpion wire.

Really, it just needs to be much faster. Or, if it must be a slow projectile… then instant cast. But the life force generation is the staple. You take it to build a huge quantity of LF very quickly. The pull is mostly designed to combo with spectral wall.

Make it faster and a teleport instead of pull. Necros have it harder than any other class on mobility.

spectral grasp like necrotic grasp or dark path fits the slow as kitten theme of the necromancer perfectly

I like that idea… Just make them into one skill. Activation = normal spectral armor, second button press during the duration shatters your armor and the shards swirl around your target pulling them into you and crippling them or something.
