Mark of Evasion enters combat
Just tested it, it doesn’t make you enter combat. So yeah…
Interesting. I just tested it and was surprised to find that Uncatchable didn’t cause a thief to enter combat, even if it manages to make an opponent bleed. I suspect that the change to this trait to bring it in line with others would be making it only work while already in combat though.
Edit:

It does if the mark triggers, and appears to do so no matter your distance from the mark. (Although you’ve only got 6 seconds to make said distance.)
It’s pretty obvious, and nobody’s impressed.

Meant if the mark gets triggered. Even if a thief damages an enemy with the Uncatchable it doesn’t cause it to enter combat.
That would make sense to me, because you are basically using a staff mark, just with dodging. The staff mark causes combat, so does the mark when used dodging.
edit: Not to say its balanced that the thief gets away with it and we don’t, but it at least makes sense that a mark caused by dodge rolling behaves the same as a normal one.

Still though. Thief gets away with it even though they have a normal Caltrops ability that puts them into combat which is pretty much the same thing. A large purpose of dodging (at least in PvE) is usually to avoid getting into combat, yet the fact that this puts you into combat is a little counter-intuitive.
I like this trait while using it in combat though (It’s a significant heal) so I want to keep it. Though the alternative would be a pain to keep switching it on and off.
