It either needs to inflict extra conditions on the opponent or just reduce the recharge of corruption skills. In it’s current state (and the state of corruption skills in general), there’s no way to use it better than the other two options we get for that slot. It actually gets us killed faster. What’s even the point?

I think MoC is a fine trait. Some skills could use more of an upgrade from the trait though. Corrupt Boon, for example should either be an instant cast or corrupt all boons when you have the trait. The only 2 skills that seem to be worth the negative affects are CoCo and Poison Cloud. Epidemic and Blood is power need even bigger buffs.

I do think corruption builds can work well though. I’ve been using one in ranked and Im in Ruby so far.

MoC is amazing for PVE and really weak for PVP and WVW. For example, in PVE you can reliably transfer 3 condis using dagger 4 to transfer (its cool down is less than the cooldown of utilities when traited). Generally, i cast Blood is power, Corrosive Poison Cloud, wait for 1 second while the cripple goes away, and then transfer Weakness, Bleed, and Torment which end up doing decent DPS in PVE. in PVP though, taking damage and having to pause for a second hurts.

So, I suppose, yes i would like to see it be better for PVP, but i really LIKE it for PVE?

The point of MoC asides awesome recharge reduction that really brings them way up in value is to arm you with extra condies on yourself for your use. Problem is you don’t follow up on it. Here are but few things you do with them:

Cast consume conditions after a corruption – due to extra condies on yourself heal will be that much stronger. Corrosive Poison Cloud is especially good for this – a projectile block that will boost your CC heal.

Cast a corruption to passively transfer condies to your enemy. If you got curses you got passive signet of plauge cast on crit if you go over 3 condies on yourself. Now imagine you got some serious burning on you. Just that. It’s not 3 condies, it’s not triggering. Use corrutpion and with next crit they burn, not you.

If you use well of power (which imho would be awesome if not for the atrocious cooldown), you can arm yourself with boons of your choosing thanks to it’s condition to boon corversion and corruptions always applying same condies on you.

And then there’s always the traditional condi transfer via dagger #4 or staff #4, or the normal plague signet in utility bar.

I would like to see MoC to add a base effect to corruption skill as they already have interesting uses to them. They just need some raw power to make up for the everyday uses.

While I agree that generally Corruption skills needs a change it is true that, mostly in PvE, Master of Corruption adds more condition for you to use. For example right know our source of Torment is very low and removing the two stacks from Blood is Power would be a cripple for us. I hope they keep adding more options and diversification to the Conditions we apply like they did with the sceptre.
