Maximum Condition Damage
so far i have over 1600. with corruption sigil max i have over 1800.
not really sure what the max is either…
It’s about 2000 with full rabid gear, 30 Curses, consumables, and full stacks of corruption. 25 stacks of might will add another 875.

Like radsaq said I have around 2000-2100 with full rabid gear items/accessories (rare backback though) around 144 bleed ticks
with 25 stacks of might it can go up to 2875
1800+ toughness and 20k hp

Question was already answered, so I won’t go into that. Practically you are looking at around 2050-2100 with stacks. Counting 25 stacks of might is silly, since you can’t keep that up on yourself constantly. Keep in mind if you build this way, your attacks are going to hit like a wet noodle outside of the condition damage.
Nice for WvW where you have access to the good consumables, not so nice for PVE where you hit the bleed cap pretty easily.

With another 30 into Death Magic and 10 into Blood Magic + Rabid Crests in weapons you’d get the highest possible of 1984 + 250 (Sigil of Corruption) + 875 (25 Might) = 3109 maximum condition damage.
This amount of Condition Damage would make Bleeds hit for 198 Damage per tick per stack and Poison would hit for 395 damage per tick. If Asura then access to confusion it would do 596 damage per stack per tick.
Unfortunately the downside to this is that you sacrifice Runes, Food and Traits and so have 0 Condition Duration to stack up lots of bleeds…

I’ve been able to break 3030 condition damage on my necro from having might stacks in groups, but as far as solo play goes 2580 ish is my top from blood is power, nourishment, and corruption stacks.
Once they fix the proc on the 200 condition damage on kill food, you’ll be able to hit 3200 no problem.
Also, Taril, your ticks would end up doing more like 202+ with bleed at that condition damage as I’ve gotten 198 per tick from 3004 condition damage.

2.5 + (0.5 * Level) + (0.05 * Condition Damage)
42.5 + (0.05 * 3109)
42.5 + 155.45 = 197.95 (Rounded to 198)
3004 Condition damage should be 192.7 (Rounded to 193)

With sigils (swapt back to rabid when 25 stacked): 2234
With 25 stack of might: 3109
Add 97 if you swap out food with constant 100 Cond Dmg with 200 Cond Dmg for 300s on kill.
Which ends up being 3206 for when the planets align

You can probably achieve the max by going full rabid gear with 6x runes of undead.
What’s going to be better getting maximum condition damage or getting condition duration to 100% and then trying to get as much cond damage after that?

Condition Duration would be most important since extra ticks would add way more damage than is achievable through condition damage.
That said, for WvW and PvP where there’s a lot of condition removal, going for higher Condition Damage to get more out of the short time that conditions are on the target would be more beneficial.

^ I don’t agree with the above. For bleeds it is true but no other condition. Sacrificing duration for condi damage also sacrifices length on your chills, poisons, weakness, cripples, etc, all of which aren’t really that long to where most of the time duration will help them even in pvp.
If you want to be a condition spec, instead of hybrid, I think you have to go for it 100%, which means bringing enough condition reapplication to actually overcome condition removal. No class can remove conditions as fast as we can apply them and the idea is to dupe them into blowing removal early or a the wrong time and then overload them. Most good condi clearing classes tend to favor boons, and we can make that work for us by removing and corrupting those boons, making them waste removals to clear conditions they themselves are responsible for adding.
Barbed Precision is also a trait that almost 100% benefits from duration since at maximum a 2 second bleed, it will almost always run its course. It has no cooldown and triggers a lot with high crit rate.
