May 14th - Necro Patch notes
you play a necro and was expecting fix’s? shame on you my good sir!
It was realy confusing, cause the devs said in their latest state of the game, taht the upcoming patch will focus on bugfixes (no balance changes, rennoko). Maybe there will be another “bigger” patch in a couple of weeks
dident they allso mention somthing about stunbreaks? or is that end of month patch

Think the bugfix patch is meant to be at the end of the month.

I can’t say this was a direct quote, but I think they referred to it as “next month’s patch”. They tend to release a big patch at the end of every month: I expect that was the one they were referring to in SotG, and we’ll see it in a few weeks. This one was definitely more to push into the next phase of the Living Story.
It’s pretty obvious, and nobody’s impressed.
I talked to Jon Peters in the mists, aparently necro is compeltely fine and viable casue we have 2 healthbars.
Who needs invulnerability, vigor, mobility, ways to disengage or even working skills or useful traits when you ahve deathshroud.

i see less and less necromancers in pve or so it seems i could just be missing them as they slip past me with 15% runspeed deathshroud :x

lol are you telling the truth blackmoa, because if you are then omfg do these guys even play their own game??? deathshroud takes so long to fill and can be taken down so fast, we don’t even gain any extra stats while in it.

Big shame on the developers. Necro needs a lot of fixing and releasing a patch with any fixes just dusts dirt under the rug.
80 Necro, 80 Ranger, 80 Warrior, 80 Mesmer, 80 Engineer.
I am actually concerned now that confusion has been reduced in effectiveness in WvW, that wells are likely next. There are many zerker style necros running in coordinated groups now for well bombing, as it is still a very viable zerg on zerg strategy. I would imagine it is going to cause a damage reduction to wells (scaling).
At least we will still be the best at zerg tagging short of staff guardians.
But thanks everyone for the clarification, I was not aware a second patch was coming later this month.
I know this is strange to say, but there needs to be a confirmation on Jon Peter’s current stance on Necromancer as a class.

I think this patch was a in-betweener. I bet we see a class bugfix update at the end of the month.

Not much was done to other professions. Seems more just a content patch.
Just cause we get weaker during a battle doesnt mean were not an attrition class.
You want to get a feel on the state of “care factor”? Check how many dev posts were made in total in this sub-forum. Compare to the next forsaken class. Become enlightened.

No, I’m very certain the devs for this game dont have a clue. I ran cof today with a dev on his warrior, and was running full signets. He told me he plays that build in wvw and pvp too. That right there, if you know anything about warriors, is all you need to know about the devs for this game.
Its kinda good though that the consensus is that necros are underpowered because it makes me as a necro player feel pretty darn awesome when I destroy people in 1v1s and even 3v1s .

Trolled by Jon Peters and his 5 signet dojo?
He runs signets often to get a better idea of how to adjust them.
His tests are likely why signet passives now add double the stats they used to give.
I don’t see why after all the months that has gone by, Specter 2 skill still doesn’t have the correct text: it applies 3 bleeds, but shows 1 on it’s description. This issue has been going on since BETA 1!

Idk man, that sounds like a super difficult thing, it could take years to fix (yeah, seriously though that’s just silly that it hasn’t been fixed yet, I can’t imagine it’d take more than a few minutes).
